Gameday's pitch tracker has completely lost its damn mind. It has all of the pitches in Heyward's AB at eye-level or higher.

Gameday has had two of the most insane calls I've ever seen; there was a called strike against a Pirates hitter last inning that was well above the player's head, and ball 1 to Rizzo is almost in the center of the strike zone.

I thought Caratini was supposed to be at least serviceable with the bat. Or at least not a complete black hole.

Yeah, my total meatball take is that it's still better to go alternating sides as much possible while allowing to make lineup adjustments in regards to crazy splits. Joe seems to love the idea of stacking to one side whenever he can like it's going to lead to an offensive onslaught, and any anecdotal evidence I can think of makes it seem like it almost never works out.

Outside of no Bote and Willy (who might be hurt) I actually kinda like the lineup if those are the 8 position players he’s gonna play. It still was monumentally dumb to sign Duensing And not use his money to sign a real backup catcher like Rivera, Avila, etc. Caritini shouldn’t be on the team and playing until September is here and we have the division won. It's all about Bote; nobody is going to convince me that Bote at 3B, Baez at SS and Zobrist at 2B is some kind of crippling downgrade in defense that necessitates Russell starting instead.
