That's true, but he did shut them out with only, what, 3 hits up through 7 innings? And 6 k's and only 1 walk? Yeah, I know Bonds wasn't there and it was an early morning, but that it is pretty dominating, and they're not a terrible team.

Aardsma has at least shown he can control his fastball and strike out guys more consistently than Novoa. In short, Aardsma shows he has potential...Novoa has shown he's a disaster. -

I petitioned to join the bandwagon a couple days ago but my application was denied because of how much I doubted Hill in the past. Then there's gonna be a long line of us waiting at the door.

And man, Lee just keeps getting closer and closer with his power...he would've had one today easy if it wasn't for the wind. And he got robbed of that hit by Vizquel's jumping catch. I think it's safe to say he's pretty damn close to being "back." It's sad, but this is how the Cubs should have been much of the year. Excuse me while I go and sigh heavily...

Now I know the Cubs haven't gotten a complete game out of a starter this year, but this seems like the perfect time to bring in Dempster in the 9th and hopefully let him shake off those 2 losses.
