  1. Katie Nolan ‏@katienolan 5m5 minutes ago I have no interest in what Dan Bernstein's work, but would enjoy seeing his tiny dick. hahahahahaahahaah Dammit, I want to be credited for my sophisticated dick jokes.
  2. Or it's just shitty to say, period.
  3. I have no rooting interest in Bernstein's terrible, terrible work, but I do enjoy making fun of his tiny, tiny dick.
  4. you people need to read this [expletive] thing it's great do you finally feel like you have a friend in the media? YES A single tear of energon slides down Brett's cheek.
  5. Very fun win. Even Hinrich somehow managed to not suck.
  6. Boston/NE fans are cheap, filthy animals who wear the same jerseys for decades.
  7. Fair enough, though that's not how those shows work, and the reality is more apt with the Cubs right now.
  8. well, not sure that is a perfect parallel, since those are shows, and they always do a horrible job "fixing" those places. I have gone through home and office renovations and while they last for months it does usually look like [expletive] within a week or two of being able to move back in. I took it as him saying as they'll basically just cover up how fucked up it still is like those shows do.
  9. And here I thought you knew your history: http://www.modern-notoriety.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/larry-johnson-grandmama1.jpg
  10. minnesota isn't that weird, but do they not sell Packer throwbacks? Yeah, there's probably a half dozen Packer jerseys I'd expect to see before Kobe. Or even some of the old school Brewers like Molitor and Yount. Dedicated Lakers fans who rightly view the Timberwolves as an abomination. And they probably forgot the Bucks exist like everyone else in the word.
  11. He just turned 25 today and has the face of a cherub. Make things right and cast Baez into the cold void.
  12. Someone had to be left out and I chose him :-( Castro is awesome and Baez is sorrow molded into human form; the choice wasn't even a choice.
  13. What the [expletive]? Are you rooting for cancer or something, you monster?
  14. The pylon is just a marker; you don't have to hit it at that point to score a touchdown. It's really not comparable to sliding in to 1B.
  15. Seriously? The guy's an outspoken Republican and former frat boy. He's certainly an original thinker but "hippie" could hardly seem less apt. I don't how many times I can flat out say "I didn't pay much attention to the Rays" before it sinks in. I literally remember seeing one profile on him over the years and it was mostly about him riding his bike to the stadium. It's just so weird how excited you were when he got hired then. I don't mean that there's anything wrong with it, but unless I'm remembering wrong, you seemed super amped about it. Like it seemed like you had to know a good amount on him. It was like the manager version of your Cespedes/Abreu/Donaldson fixations. Because I knew of his reputation as a good/progressive/whatever manager (and arguments for him being the best in the game) and what the Rays had done during his time there in the broad sense. I just knew next to nothing about anyone on those teams as a person. For all I know Evan Longoria is some kind of jungle cat in human clothes who can fly. With Maddon all I knew was "old guy with hipster-ish glasses who is smart at baseball and rides a bike."
  16. Odds are at least one of these guys has to fail, so I prefer it to be someone who does it quickly, obviously and spectacularly, in part because of my voodoo-ish relief that it will effectively suck in any residual failure that could possibly taint the other, much better younger players.

  18. I just want Baez in the minors because him beating up in minor league pitching (hopefully, since he sure as [expletive] isn't doing it now) will probably be the last chance to use him as a decent trade chip before he implodes and becomes a miniature black hole that devours whatever team is around him.
  19. Yeah, MLB Network is basically Meatball Central for a good 90% of its broadcast day. Woof.
  20. Lots of the usual herpa-derp in those quotes, but this one stuck out to me as being amazing. That's just...beautiful.
  21. lmao yes Probably, though I really had an image of Maddon as fixed gear bike-riding old hippie, like he was Alex P. Keaton's dad or something. I'm not really sure why, but I wasn't expecting some rip-snortin', old man lunatic to come roaring up in an RV. Yeah, but he's sharp as tack mentally. I love listening to him talk to Len and JD and reading what he has to say about baseball. His explanation of why he would sometimes hit the pitcher 8th was outstanding and changed my opinion. He really knows baseball strategy. He's impressive. He also talked about managing in the minor and trying out things because "nobody was watching" to find out what works and what doesn't. He's the anti-Ryne Sandberg. Sandberg hated managing in the minors. Oh, ultimately I don't care if he eats rocks and marries an aardvark; I know he knows what he's doing baseball-wise. I just had a completely different expectation personality-wise.

  23. Just look at it like they're going to inspire him to end up being an unholy combination of the two, and we will rejoice.
  24. seriously It doesn't bother me; it's just not what I was expecting at all. Is it more or less weird knowing the entire staff dressed like that? I don't even know anymore.
