  1. Don't get my hopes up like that, Len. THERIOT. DO NOT HIT INTO A DOUBLE PLAY. STRIKE OUT IF YOU HAVE TO.
  2. Alright Ward, you've had a LOT of chances to watch Cordero pitch. Do something with that.
  3. Leadoff triple that gets stranded. 2 outs, Soriano hits a sure triple, gets sent motoring for home for an ITP home run, gets thrown out at the plate.
  4. Well, since it was always a one run game, we were doomed.
  5. Doesn't Lou have a reputation for really grinding his bullpen? I don't like it.
  6. Yeah, he was looking pretty average. .292/.333/.431 Fixed. I don't want him to be a regular OFer, but his bat has shown it can come in very handy, so let's not act like he was useless for the team.
  7. I don't care if they win today by 20...this lineup is an abomination.
  8. What the hell? That doesn't make any sense. I kind of understand the idea of fitting Izturius to theoretically give Guzman some better defense to back him up, but DeRosa in RF instead of Murton or Jacque or Floyd deprives him of some decent offensive support. I hope this isn't actually the lineup.
  9. But when you were awful, you gotta get to mediocre before you can get to good or beyond.
  10. OK, I know I'm just being Johnny Spellcheck, buuuuuuut....OUCH.
  11. I don't think I've ever posted in or even read something in the Rivals forum. I keep forgetting it's there. Same here. When you get right down to it, every other baseball team is a rival.
  12. Whoopedy-doo. I know I've been harsh on the guy, but I'm sick of his emotional issues and I'm worried about his worsening negative stats...anything that puts it in his head that he "deserves" ace money and years when the Cubs and he iron out his deal annoys the hell out of me. I'm really praying that Guzman turns the corner a la Hill so we can trade Z for a serious offensive upgrade.
  13. [smartass]Heh...all of those wild throws going into CF when he's trying to get someone stealing 2nd, I guess.[/smartass]
  14. Lou has been waiting to break up the two left-handers in the rotation ever since they got put together. Plus, they decided that they'd rather let Guzman get his first start out of the way at home against a worse offense than have to face a team like the Phillies at their place for his first start. Heh...then put Hill #1 where he belongs, Z at #2 and Lilly #3. ? The order really means absolutely nothing. Yes and no. In the grand scheme, it means nothing but a superficial form of ranking the quality of your pitchers...but, since Lou does want to seperate the lefties, voila, best of both words. Ultimately, I wanna kinda see Zambrano get some added reminder that he is not this team's ace.

  16. He's doing fine. I think showing he can play there will make him more appealing to other teams. He's looking decent at the plate again, too. Pie really needs to head back down and play daily until Jacque can be moved in a decent deal. CF is fine with Jacque playing it.
  17. How long is that going to last? It's like the new towel joke.
  18. Yeah, he was looking pretty awesome.
  19. Why are they playing with fire having Jones in CF? He's looked very good out there and he's played it before. He's also pretty hot offensively right now...Jones, quite frankly, is at the bottom of my concerns for this team. Let him play and show off and hopefully Hendry will get some callers. Pie needs to head back down and play on a daily basis some more.
