Ive heard that winterball fields are atrocious, poorly maintained and so you see alot of infield errors during these games due to crazy hops ect. That's the general consensus. Then again, 5 of his errors were throwing errors. Well, I have missed the antics of Shawon Dunston. -

As much as I'll always love Chicago, the weather here pretty much sucks here for a good 90%+ of any year.

I'd love to get Greene at SS, and would happily trade Pie to get him. Have Fukudome play CF, keep Murton in RF (if we still have him), play Roberts at 2nd if he's acquired and play DeRosa at SS. Theriot should fit nowhere into this equation.

That's why I'm actually confiden about this...losing Furcal seemed to really burn Hendry, hence the Soriano deal, hence why he won't be outbid here. If Fukudome goes elsewhere, it will be for reasons other than money.

Except nobdy here was saying that he was "the piece." One of the probems with Hendry's take on this team is that almost every player he goes after has to be "THE piece" to winning it all as opposed to just a piece that will help the overall team.

come on, there's a lot more valuable stats than batting average. Is their a mental beakdown stat? You have, by far, the worst baseball anaysis of anyone currently posting on this board. You dont have to be a stat head to know that hes injury prone, a basket case, and not even an up grade over Jacque Jones offensively or defensively. Trust me, it has little to do with stats. You have the most unrealistic and often completely made up perceptions of players that it often baffles me as to whether or not you actually even pay attention to baseball.

Maybe...but agan, I think even that just led to people speculating and not actually any interest by the Cubs. I remember people thinking Dusty's reputation as a "player's manager" might help in dealing with Bradley's exagerrated "troubles," but that was about it.

I don't think so. The last couple times he's been available, this board has wished for him, but there was never any talk that the Cubs were interested.
