  3. The Nationals had gotten off to a decent start, and they already had a pretty decent offense carrying over from last year. They're not going to be pushovers.
  4. http://pittsburgh.pirates.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=7639179&c_id=pit Staying overnight in a Houston hospital for observation. That's always scary. Hope the guy is OK.
  5. Marmol should definitely still be available tomorrow seeing as he threw 19 pitches last night and 15 tonight.
  6. Why would you want him over Marshall here? Marshall's generally been pretty craptacular facing the Brewers at MP.
  7. Lou's not clever enough for that. He'd just say "bad news."
  8. It's like having Hubert Farnsworth manage the team. Except a lot less funny. "Good news, everyone! I've moved Zambrano to the bullpen!" Fixed No.
  9. Eh, I wouldn't even get Marshall up. His numbers are pretty brutal in Miller Park.
  10. It's like having Hubert Farnsworth manage the team. Except a lot less funny. "Bad news, everyone! I've moved Zambrano to the bullpen!"
  11. Good Lord, Lou could not look more like a dottering old man.
  12. Knowing Lou he'll probably have Z finish the game even if it's 5-0 going into the bottom of the 9th.
  13. Yeah, my heart plummeted into my stomach when he said he thought Z "tweaked something"
  14. Clearly. Relievers that tend to be reliable also tend to be relatively rare commodities that teams hold onto or trade only for a decent return. Teams that are bursting at the seams with reliable relievers and are nice enough to let them go for marginal prospects are mythical.
  15. Yeah, I'm hitting Soriano/Soto 4/5 right now if I'm Lou. It especially doesn't make any sense to have Soto hitting 8th.
  16. Man, be a little optimistic. At least he didn't strike out, he worked back into the count and he made good contact.
