Hahahahahaaah! Once that batting average returns to normal he will be the same piece of garbage he's always been. Yeah, more 2 for 3 days like this will really hobble him. I know what you are saying, but like I said our 2nd base platoon has an OPS around 680, thats terrible. Fontenot has shown zero power this year, and almost zero patience. We really need to upgrade that position. Oh, 2nd base has indeed been generally terrible. I just find it amusing when people flip out on players when they actually have a decent day at the plate.

Typical Byrd at bats. Most of his big hits this year have come with him in either bad counts or just hacking away. He's never going to be a very patient or "pretty" hitter.

Umm you realize 2 runs in 2 innings is a pretty damn good pace right? They were 0 for 8 last night with runners in scoring position and they haven't shown any consistency against anyone other than the Brewers. I guess I expect more from the middle of the line-up. Why? The 3-4 guys have been garbage most of the year.

I think comparing him to LeBron in this respect is a poor idea, considering LeBron is what 6'8 260? And Rose is 6'3 190? When LeBron bullrushes the lane it's almost impossible to get out of the way. Either he's going to knock your ass on the ground or blow right through you for a dunk. And he's quick and agile enough to get to a point before anyone can charge him. He's just a freakish athlete with his size and the agility and speed of a person much smaller than him. It's hard not to foul him when he gets in there. Exactly.

I think off the court Rose is a wuss, but he's been a beast on the court. Showing a lot more emotion and leadership on the court than last year. No he's not a cocky jackass or anything, or a player who thinks every foul against him is a crime against humanity, but he's got court swagger. Not enough. He's got as much as LeBron did after his second year He doesn't have enough, either. He's too goofy.

There is plenty to support the idea that Rose is too good at getting to the basket to avoid the foul calls. He's so skilled at avoiding contact that it's ironically working to his detriment. It's one thing to gripe about guys getting calls for relatively minor contact, but another to expect someone to get calls when he's avoiding getting touched. Rose has definitely been mugged at times, but expecting him to get calls when he somehow twists his way around everyone in the lane like some kind of snake powered by evil magic is silly.
