  1. Was there really anything to come back from for Soriano recently? Last 2 weeks: .297 .400 .595 .995
  2. Even though it got tense, that outing was still a good thing to see from Marmol. The bases loaded were more the result of a tight zone and questionable calls as opposed to him being truly wild. He stayed focused and kept throwing good pitches. Nice win!
  3. I'm just on gamecast. What happened? Just landed funky on the mound after his pitch and rolled his ankle a bit.
  4. He's starting to hit the ball hard, but unfortunately right at someone. That's a sign that his slump may be ending. I think (hope) he'll be ok. Perhaps he still may have some lingering shoulder issues? I'm more worried about the continued lack of contact than how hard he's hitting the ball when he does hit it. Maybe my perception is off, but it sure seems like he's still striking out at a dreadful rate. It's not off; his k rate is much worse.
  5. Ugh, seeing Colvin and Hill in there just fills me with dread about this game being tied.
  6. Do not attempt to keep Soto off the bases.
  7. Aramis crushed that ball. It just happened to be lined right at the 3B.
  8. Seriously? Aramis was out because the ball bounced right to the RFer and he's not fast to begin with, Fontenot has the 2B basically on top of him and Silva is fat and slow. None of that had to do with "not hustling."
  9. Fontenot was out. Please take advantage of that break, Theriot.
  10. Kinda wondering why they don't just walk Soto here. It's a miracle they don't make Lou pay more for the stupidity of batting him 8th.
  11. Fuku's old hitting coach has been in town for the last week...just keep him here!
  12. Had Fontenot going on a hit and run 3 times in a row despite the Cubs' best hitter being at the plate and it resulted with Fontenot getting thrown out by a mile.
  13. Whatever look he's going for is very, very ill-advised. Unless he wants to look like some kind of meth addict/pusher.
  14. It just makes no sense at all. It would be one thing if Soto was a defensive liability and Hill had to be in there often as a late game sub (and even that scenario doesn't justify starting Soto as low as 8), but that's not the case. So dumb.
