How the [expletive] are you coming to that conclusion? Just because he wisely doesn't want the Cubs to hold off spending until they start developing better players internally like davearm2 wants them to do doesn't mean he only wants the quick fix. Everyone with a functioning brain wants them to improve the farm system AND utilize their tremendous financial resources, so I have no idea why you're acting like that's only "your side of the argument." -
He's probably too much of a coward to do the right thing. I'm frankly surprised he hasn't done it already. And I'll be even more surprised if he doesn't do it before he goes to prison. Thanks to that judge, he's got at least a few months of freedom left. Based on the numbers it doesn't seem most pedophiles are too keen on, er, offing themselves just because they've been caught.

You're still missing the point; it's not just what is said by Theo and Sandberg. It's also what they actually put into practice. Theo uses platitudes and meatball catchphrases but then actually runs a baseball team intelligently. Sandberg uses them and then actually does what he says.

Like I said, I trust our management team. Things have just shaken out differently than most have expected. How so? I really thought Sandberg, Francona, Bobby V and Martinez would get jobs before Ventura, Matheny and Sveum. So things have shaken out differently than YOU expected, not for "most" here.

Not really, they will have to do without it as much as we will have to endure it (depending on the balpark). There's no more DH than there was before, thank God. Maybe they'll look at finally getting rid of it and getting back to real baseball. Nah, you're in serious denial if you're thinking the bold part.
