  1. [expletive], this Dodgers team is fun as hell. I had Crawford, Ramirez and Gonzalez anchoring my lineup in The Show '10 and NOW IT IS SO.
  2. Years ago people would have made a similar argument for Meph.
  3. mods, you heard the guy
  4. No, he made it very clear; it's just funny that he thinks they were people who have "way overrated" Schierholtz.
  5. The TV money available far outweighs anything along those lines, especially with a fanbase as big as the Cubs'. They'd be putting themselves at a distinct disadvantage to choose keeping up something like that vs. starting their own channel.
  6. Like who? What's wrong with his .283 .331 .554 .885 line against RH pitchers? He's been exactly what they were hoping he'd be: a good platoon player.
  7. A less impressive (but not so bad) .284 .333 .413 .746 going in to tonight's game. But... .246 .283 .298 .582 the last two weeks .207 .233 .241 .475 the last week.
  8. The big deal is that the Cubs are being paid WAY under value for those games.
  9. I demand the Cubs score at least 7 runs tonight.
  10. God, just shut the [expletive] up already. http://i.imgur.com/5v3eRz2.jpg So perfect on every level.
  11. Was there anyone at the time who thought it was a bad move?
  12. That's gotta be the ultimate goal; I'm expecting a renegotiation of the WGN deal so that it ends when the Comcast one does. I can't imagine that WGN is in any hurry to lose the Cubs and will be looking to keep them, if even just for a few more years.
  13. I don't know, seeing as how much money would be there is to be made I would have to think a way would be made.
  14. They do, but at the moment there's only one such channel. Wouldn't be enough for a full load of baseball. Aren't the Cubs and Sox typically on at different times?
  15. Don't they already stagger games onto one of the other channels?
  16. What I'm worried about is that they would seem to have no leverage...where are they gonna go if WGN doesn't ante up? Will the other locals be bidding? Couldn't they just move all of the games to Comcast?
  17. BR hates his defense. And he's had multiple years where he's hit for good power.
  18. Haha. B.J. Upton is hitting .177/.266/.300. Sweet Jesus. Never understood why so many on here wanted to sign him. Because he's 27 and was good 4 of 6 seasons prior to this year? (And good all of those seasons if you go by FG)
  19. A few days ago I couldn't remember which Upton sucked so much this year so I looked them both up and realized they both have. Always going to be worth it: http://mlbreports.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/uptonhere630.jpg
  20. Not that it wasn't a bad trade, but man, I had no idea that Upton's season had gotten so farty after an amazing start.
  21. Well, yeah, that's kind of the point; this basically started with people talking about what kind of deal it would/should take to move Shark.
  22. And that is why I ask the question because I don't know.....is Kennedy hurt or something? Could be. The point is that he's been trending in the wrong direction and there are some big warning signs. He's still a very intriguing pitcher, but he's arguably a buy-low type of option (or on his way to that real fast).
