  1. I almost made more money off of the PJ tickets than I did off of all of the game tickets I sold; such a wretched, wretched season.
  2. Sorry to hear it; glad you're doing better.
  3. Going only by the game thread I assumed the Cubs won handily.
  4. So you're really going with this, aren't you?
  5. Are you confusing Grobstein and Schuster? I think Schuster said that...Grobstein is the weird creeper who does overnight. It was after 10, so I thought it was the overnight guy. Whoever it was at least had his awful lazy psycho voice.
  6. I had the radio on for about 5 minutes after the game and that weird creeper who does overnight for the Score was saying something like "Webb's locker was cleared out."
  7. Noooooooooope.
  8. I feel like this is like Homer saying "maybe THIS time..." before the 15th puppy leaps through the air and eats the chip from his hand yet again.
  9. Yeah, those places are naaaaaasty.

  11. Alright, jeez, we get it; you love A.J..
  12. There's a bajillion awesome bars if people are willing to walk a few blocks or take 1 or 2 L stops. I'm just saying that most people find the Wrigleyville thing real old real fast. But he's visiting Wrigley... And he goes to Wrigley, walks through Wrigleyville as one would do observing beasts in a zoo, and then enjoys some local bars and restaurants. Everybody wins.
  13. Exactly. Close enough to the park, but it's not packed.
  14. What bar was that? I always liked going to Sheffields, but haven't been in a real long time now. http://www.yelp.com/biz/johnny-o-hagans-irish-pub-and-restaurant-chicago

  16. The bar I liked best and was going to suggest three blocks south of Wrigley of course just closed, so that blows. The other one I like is a few blocks NW of the stadium, on Southport, called Cullen's. That's typically my go-to spot after a game. Great bar, good food. And if I want a quick bite before the game I just go to Al's, a couple blocks south on Clark. Basically my advice is to get away from the stadium before and after the game; Wrigleyville is a cesspool and you'll be fighting huge crowds for space in pretty average sports/frat bars.
  17. Reading YouTube comments is one of the quickest and surest ways to lose the remainder (or a good portion of) of your faith in humanity. True, though Yahoo comments still take the trophy.
  18. Only 5 comments until the n-bomb was dropped. Way to go, YouTube!
  19. NONE OF THOSE ARE STRIKES MIGUEL Jesus [expletive] Christ. If Baez can translate any of his "oh, I'm going to swing at this terrible pitch like I'm having a spine-snapping spasm yet somehow still hit out of the park"-power like that I will man-kiss him on the mouth.
  20. The flaws are super obvious from the beginning, but the fall off of the cliff starts about halfway through season 2.
  21. There's clearly people around Scully doing all of the research and just handing him things to read.
