  1. This last off-season was his best. he could have easily flopped last year, this team really doesn't have a significant weakness.
  2. Is Bonds even going to start tomorrow? Day game following a night game.
  3. Yeah, this pisses me off when we do this. And what pisses me off more, is when people don't realize how bad of a play this is. Joe Morgan actually said, "and he was sac'd into position to SET UP THE HOME RUN." That doesn't even make sense. Come on Walk, drive him in. thank god i dont have to listen to Morgan tonight He was announcing the BoSox-NYY game. This game isn't on ESPN anywhere is it? Don't think so. He said it on Sunday night.
  4. No it doesn't. Trying to hit a ground ball to the right side (his specialty) makes sense. At least that way there is a chance it'll turn into a hit. Pulling the ball requires bat speed. Pierre ain't got it. he is still pretty amazing at grounding out to second though.
  5. Well, I spoke too late. Sportsline has Restovich listed on the bench.

  7. Mabry batting 5th? Ugh. I do like Ronny leading off though.
  8. that happened to me with both the Pads and Giants game...and I live in Las Vegas. Ugh.
  9. lol? Seemed like there were a lot of mistakes there...Aramis "wasn't ready" to take over the run-producing role? No, he was in a slump, and he was before Lee got hurt. Zambrano "failed to step up as a leader" because he didn't win games? Tough to win when your offense, as you stated about 47 times, doesn't score. Some of it is spot on, but some of it just seemed like anti-Cubs rhetoric.
  10. I guess this shouldn't be a surprise. So what percentage of the roster can play 2B now? 20. If you want to include Cedeno, it's a little more than that.
  11. Or anything Farnsy says in this one.
  12. Personally, I've loved listening to the SD feed for the last two days. Also in HD for me :D :D
  13. Derrek Lee
  14. Who said anything about the right now? All he said was who is more frustrating, you brought the here and now into the equation.
  15. To be fair to Hairston and Neifi, they are decent defenders. neifi is, but I've seen nothing from hairston to make me think that.
  16. the padre announcers are quite amusing to listen to. Let's see...in the first or second inning, a guy that's nicknamed "Flan" called Dusty Baker a good manager. After the Cubs left 'em loaded, the PBP guy broke out in song, "Chan Ho! Chan Ho! It's off to work we go!" After Bynum's attempt to throw the game, he said something to the tune of "What in the Brant Brown is going on in here!?" Oh man, I was dying laughing.
  17. Hooray! I get to watch this game! Oh wait, that's a bad thing isn't it?
  18. Why start Bynum if you're starting Blanco (and vice-versa)? What use does that have? This is a STRUGGLING offense. Ugh.
  19. yeah, he should have made that lone run stand up. damn him. True, but he got hit awfully hard. If it was 2-1 or 3-1, I wouldn't put the blame on him, but 5 runs in 5 innings is rough. Just odd, figured he'd have another 6IP, 2ER performance in him.
  20. So the reason we lost tonight is...maddux? What the hell?
  21. I get the Padre games thanks to living in Las Vegas 8)
