Pierre will be out by 2 steps instead of 1. seriously. why does the length of the grass even matter? we have a team that is last offensively in obp and first in pitchers giving up walks, yet people want to talk about cutting grass? dude wrote the book (baseball for dummies). joe morgan is our man. but doesn't this bother anyone else? I could totally see us getting Steve Phillips & Joe Morgan to become GM & manager.

No worries, Womack is on the way. Cubs do need more speed. And more second basemen! Here, I redesigned the baseball diamond so it only consists of a pitcher's mound and second bases. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b194/78jont/cubs2nd.jpg It looks like they're crapping on the field. I think that's a good strategy, personally.

I wouldn't give them that much credit...they're just trading for team's top prospects. Very little actual drafting. That being said, I'd love to have the Marlins in Vegas in a few years.

Who is we? Do you have a mouse in your pocket? Stop saying that, it's pretty ridiculous. A good portion of the forum says "we" so I'd probably stop worrying about it. How about you Relax kid I'm pretty relaxed right now actually. No worries about a playoff race, etc. Just pointing out that you've said it a few times and that it's probably not something you should worry about.

you know what's really bad? this team isn't hideous defensively, so I can't even laugh at how bafflingly bad they are. Maybe if they hadn't've cornered the market on speedsters, we'd see some EXTRA ADDED PRESSURE ON THE DEFENSE THAT IS SURE TO CAUSE JUAN PIERRE TO GET ON BASE. -
