Yeah, this pisses me off when we do this. And what pisses me off more, is when people don't realize how bad of a play this is. Joe Morgan actually said, "and he was sac'd into position to SET UP THE HOME RUN." That doesn't even make sense. Come on Walk, drive him in. thank god i dont have to listen to Morgan tonight He was announcing the BoSox-NYY game. This game isn't on ESPN anywhere is it? Don't think so. He said it on Sunday night.
No it doesn't. Trying to hit a ground ball to the right side (his specialty) makes sense. At least that way there is a chance it'll turn into a hit. Pulling the ball requires bat speed. Pierre ain't got it. he is still pretty amazing at grounding out to second though.

lol? Seemed like there were a lot of mistakes there...Aramis "wasn't ready" to take over the run-producing role? No, he was in a slump, and he was before Lee got hurt. Zambrano "failed to step up as a leader" because he didn't win games? Tough to win when your offense, as you stated about 47 times, doesn't score. Some of it is spot on, but some of it just seemed like anti-Cubs rhetoric.
I guess this shouldn't be a surprise. So what percentage of the roster can play 2B now? 20. If you want to include Cedeno, it's a little more than that.
the padre announcers are quite amusing to listen to. Let's see...in the first or second inning, a guy that's nicknamed "Flan" called Dusty Baker a good manager. After the Cubs left 'em loaded, the PBP guy broke out in song, "Chan Ho! Chan Ho! It's off to work we go!" After Bynum's attempt to throw the game, he said something to the tune of "What in the Brant Brown is going on in here!?" Oh man, I was dying laughing.
yeah, he should have made that lone run stand up. damn him. True, but he got hit awfully hard. If it was 2-1 or 3-1, I wouldn't put the blame on him, but 5 runs in 5 innings is rough. Just odd, figured he'd have another 6IP, 2ER performance in him.
