  1. Dude. It's Jorge Sosa. JORGE SOSA. Sorry, our right to complain about flukishly good starting pitching has been revoked until Marquis and Lilly have ERA's over pi. It's not that he's flukishly good (although he is) but we should at least be able to scratch SOMETHING off him. There's no reason for the Cubs to get owned by as many pitchers as they do.
  2. Dang it, he was cruising along too.
  3. Allison Stokke is the hotness.
  4. He'll be promoted the day before Vance goes to see him :) A la Justin Upton and me. :( Upton played for the Class A South Bend Silver Hawks last year and I stupidly never made a trip out to see him. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
  5. Apparently it would be on Monday. That made my night. I work a whopping 28 hours in the 3 days of the weekend (Fri-Sun) and would have missed any game 7 on Saturday or Sunday. Ridiculous scheduling move, but it should benefit me so I don't care.
  6. It worked fine for the Tigers in 2000, but I doubt Fontenot will be hitting 3rd. This is a good day for us LSU fans! Yeah, if only Manieri can return them to their past glory. <-- misses Mainieri at ND
  7. Wolf's looking pretty good at the moment with the Brewers' hot start.
  8. I started having Those Thoughts about 3/4 of the way through Game 4. "If they let us steal Game 5, this thing's going seven." Well, it's going seven. I don't know if we're gonna win, but this thing's ending in Detroit one way or the other.
  9. How about that, we scored some runs and even got a hit with the bases loaded for the 1st time all year! How's about we keep that going for a while, eh? It'll be Cy Rich Hill trying to rebound from his worst outing of the year http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_448179.jpg (4-2, 2.51 ERA) Against Jorge Sosa, who for some reason has become a starting pitcher http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_407901.jpg (2-0, 2.77 ERA) Let's do this, one-pitch Rich!
  10. I boldly predict a Bulls win tonight.
  11. This guy http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/407296.jpg (3-3, 5.83 ERA) Against this guy http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/429720.jpg (5-0, 1.79 ERA) Looks like my run as starter will be quite brief. Go Bulls!
  12. I don't think so...last April a Marlins game was on WCIU/ESPN and aired on ESPN, so it may be that you will see this game anyway.
  13. I have a strangely good feeling here. Skiles has finally put TT in, he's playing well, the Bulls looked good today. All I know is, the Pistons better not let us steal game 5 in Detroit, because game 6 is in Chi-town, then anything can happen in a game 7...
  14. Ryan put the Phillies in the http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e67/ndistops/Dumpster.jpg
  15. I'm taping this, hopefully it turns out better than my tape of Game 3 of the Bulls series, which didn't ever start recording.
  16. This game was originally scheduled for CSN, I'd be fascinated to learn why they bumped such a pitching matchup to the +
  17. I'd have been thrilled if someone told me the Bulls would play eight playoff games, but I didn't want to see them crash and burn like this. Now we're right back to the "Baby Bulls" stigma.
  18. Probably will. Lefty Cole Hamels pitching, and it's not like we have anyone on the team who can play over him against a lefty. Pagan Will be in center because we don't have anyone there who can hit lefties either
  19. I added a few friends after I got premium, but I've yet to see a point.
  20. Probably will. Lefty Cole Hamels pitching, and it's not like we have anyone on the team who can play over him against a lefty.
  21. Figures. If the Bulls lose tonight it's going to be one miserable 18-hour work weekend.
  22. game's not over. Is there any doubt that the Cubs will go down 1-2-3 in the ninth? Nah. I expect a fake rally here. This game calls for it. Hmmmm...been awhile since one of the Cubs tripped and fell going from third to home. Gotta be a wild pitch with the Cubs runner getting thrown out at the plate on a bad call by the ump.
