    Hudson came into the game something like 74-1 when staked to a 3-run lead or more. But math and facts just don't matter to that franchise it seems like. They just took the lead.

    You clearly are not familiar with the Cubs' offense and its wonderful tendency to get shredded by a middling LHP. :D D'Backs - 132 runs (Worst in MLB), .238 BA (Worst in MLB), .309 OBP (Worst in MLB) vs. Lefties. D'Backs are only worse. Hmm. This man may have a point.

    This will almost certainly be the NLDS matchup this year if the Cubs win the division. Either the Dbacks end up with the best record and can't play a wildcard from the West, or the Mets end up with the best record and the Dbacks are matched up with the Cubs in the 2/3 anyway.

    I don't understand the strange hatred for Marshall by some people. He's a good 5th starter who's making league minimum. Hes inconsistent dude, come on In 16 starts, Marshall has given up 3 ER or less 12 times. That's not fantastic, but it's not bad. Turn on the sarcasm meter, yo. Never know with Keener. :wink:

    Why do you ask? it would seem like a pretty solid game wisconsin vs. wazzou, but I know the pac ten like i know Aramaic Oh, ok, I see what you're asking. Well, Wazzu will probably be fine, but Wisconsin's a very, very good team playing at home. I don't think the Cougs have much of a chance. hey andy, your ball st cardinals are playing my wisconsin-milwaukee panthers in basketball... i might have to make a trip to muncie. Yeah, that's what I hear. Georgetown, Butler, Illinois State and UW-Milwaukee all making trips to Muncie in out of conference play in one year is pretty ridiculous.

    Well Buck O'Neil and Ernie Banks didn't hold up any signs, but they were very vocal that Lou could be a super star and that the Cubs "college of managers" were misusing him in a run producing role. Brock's OBP with the Cubs: .319 in 1962 .300 in 1963 .300 in 1964 until traded (215 AB) Stolen bases with the Cubs: 16/23 in 1962 (69.6) 24/36 in 1963 (66.7) 10/13 in 1964 until traded (215 AB) (76.9) No matter what role the Cubs were using him in, he was sucking at it. Flat-out terrible. Neifi-esque hitting and base-stealing rates (in 62 and 63) that statistically were hurting his team.
