Why on earth did Hillenbrand rush that throw so much?

While their non-conference schedule hasn't exactly been strong the past few years, I wouldn't say the Boilers always schedule nobodies. They don't play I-AA schools. They've played solid teams in the past such as Bowling Green, West Virginia, and Wake Forest (they were ranked 20th when Purdue played them in 2003 if I remember correctly). It's not like they pad their entire non-conference schedule with terrible teams. The fact that they have Notre Dame on their schedule every year speaks to that. And they haven't scheduled that weak team from Muncie since '04. :wink: Bold 1: Eastern Illinois is still a 1-AA team last time I looked it up. Bold 2: Purdue played us last year and beat us by 10 - the biggest margin of defeat we had against the three Big Eleven opponents we played.

Sad thing is, I might bet on PSU with that line.

I think you'd be better off playing ND in November than now as far as prestige of the win goes. Media is all over them now losing to a Tech team that wasn't that highly thought of. By November they may be a 500 team that people could call surging. i just meant that after ND loses to Michigan, Purdue, USC, etc., it's not going to be impressive at all I don't know how good Purdue really is yet (and probably won't until they play ND since they always schedule nobodies in front of us) but I doubt we lose to them.

Charlie Weis announced today that Jimmy Clausen will get the nod against Penn State, and also said that if not for his elbow procedure from the summer he'd likely have been #1 all along.

I respect Lee way too much to say anything against him, and he's right to say that the fans should not have booed. I wouldn't have either. That said, Z needs to not pop off if they do and understand where they're coming from.

This has the feeling of one of those "Cubs burst out and randomly win like 13-2 despite a horrendous mismatch" type games.

Good times. Yea when he pointed at his head alot of people in the gamethread took it as "I know I sucked, my bad" but thats not what he meant at all. He said he doesnt deserve to be bood, and thought the Cubs had the best fans in baseball, but now he sees they only think of themselves. wow Just shut up and pitch Z, how bout you do that. Yeah, I saw Tourgasm as well. I think he was the 2nd best comedian there though. I don't think what he did at Tourgasm was his best stuff. A lot of people hate him and I don't understand why. Yeah, he's kind of obnoxious and I don't like his on stage antics all that much, but a lot of his stuff is actually funny. I think a lot of people overrate him, but I also think a lot of people severly underrate him. I can't listen to his Harmful if Swallowed CD and not crack up. Yeah, H.I.S. is very funny. Retaliation is a pretty decent comedy album with some great laughs, but sometimes during that it seemed like he was reaching for bits that fit his persona, whereas H.I.S. flowed pretty well.

Not the only one. I just gave up disagreeing a long time ago.

There would have been hard feelings and then some if Phillips had thrown at Pujols. Albert would've been pissed that someone called him out.
