I am not all that confident in this series. Webb owns us, Davis owns us, and Owings is Babe Ruth. I think the Cubs can win, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't.

I still think we should rotate regardless of W/L, but either way will work as long as we get a bunch of threads out of it. :)

I vote we go Southpaw for Game 1, Derwood for Game 2, Cubbies75 in Game 3, and UMFan83 in Game 4. If we are in a situation where a loss eliminates us, bhogg gets an emergency start.

I may be exaggerating a bit but I'm pretty sure Soriano has led off every September game with a home run.

And I know Davis and Owings aren't that good, but they sure own us. Especially Davis.

The Phillies top hitters will do wonders against curveball lefties, unless Hill and Lilly are on, they'll really have a hard time. And if Marquis isn't on, his belt-high sinker is really meaty to those bats. I'd rather see the two West teams or the Mets. I wouldn't mind the Mets either, but they're pretty much out of the question at this point.

Our pitching can stop Philly's offense - I'm not convinced our offense can hit Arizona's or San Diego's pitching. That's why I want Philly.

They need to step it up in the MAC and not just lose those close games to tough teams. What grade is that QB of yours? Well, he's got 14 TDs and 2 interceptions this year, and one of those INTs was tipped, and he's thrown for about 1400 yards in 5 games. If we play like we have the last two weeks, we really should win out and go 10-2, including Illinois and Indiana. good luck with that one. i'm not saying illinois will win, but assuming illinois, who should be in the top 25 after today, is an automatic win is ridiculous. I didn't assume anything. I said that if Ball State plays like the team that's scored 89 points in two weeks and rolled up over 600 yards of offense on Nebraska, they should win. I don't see them playing that well again, but if that team showed up they'd win.

Ball State pounds the crap out of Buffalo 49-14 and rolls up over 450 yards of offense for the 4th week in a row. Would've been 56-14 but they took a knee inside the Buffalo 10 to end it. Man, it is fun to watch them. They were up 28-0 a few minutes into the 2nd quarter before letting off the gas a bit.

I wish Murton would start in RF in the playoffs, but I guess if Cliff Floyd continues having ABs like he's had I'm good. BTW, you won't be able to hear him but the Reds' PA announcer's voice is annoying as hell.
