  1. Tomorrow morning. Really? That's lame. Thanks. No prob. I've been playing Yahoo for years but that still bugs the crap out of me.
  2. Oh no. Second life. We're screwed.
  3. Who cares if you put the tying run on base if it's freaking Edmonds hitting rather than Pujols? And GOOD LORD STOP SCARING ME LIKE THAT
  4. He of the 352 ERA+ will now own the world. After spotting STL a wild pitch first.
  5. Since Notre Dame is the embarrassment of college football, it'd be nice if Ball State could lift my spirits by giving Nebraska a game at least. Not asking for a Michigan 2006 redux, but let's not humiliate ourselves out there.

    NFL Week Two

Lot of favorites going down today. Panthers officially lose 34-21. Great defense you've got there, Trgovac. Now these next 2 division games are all but must-wins.
  7. My holy lord Soto is on fire. 4 hits.
  8. Thank the lord good Marquis showed up for Aug and Sept.
  9. Louisville ranked ahead of Kentucky, who just beat them. Uh-huh.

    NFL Week Two

The Panthers beat a superior team on the road in week 1, then get absolutely owned by a team they're better than in week 2 while the only other good team in the division is losing. Typical of this stupid franchise.

  12. Yes, because the polls are perfect. or because they're all 3-0 (as well as Purdue, Illinois and Indiana, all un-ranked). The best win by all six of those teams put together is @Washington. We'll see how long that lasts once conference play starts.
  13. 0-8 going into Navy. I've been following football for 15 years and have seen some real stinkbomb offensive lines, but ND 2007 takes the cake. Every single play (that I watched - I gave up 20 minutes in), there were three guys in the backfield. And Michigan's defense isn't even good. I really believe Charlie is doing everything he can, but when your entire starting lineup is freshmen and sophomores, everyone in the media is piling on you week in and week out, all the fans are sick of you, and on top of that you're getting your butts whipped, there's not much anyone can do. Even my borderline-ruthless taunting roommate recognized how scarring this season is going to be and didn't snipe at ND once yesterday. Which is good because if he had he'd probably be in a coma at the moment.

  15. How the hell are we in first?
  16. Just got back NC - went to see a movie right after the BSU game then hung out with a friend. AMAZING ball game. Each team had well over 500 yards of offense, but Ball State only turned it over once, whereas Navy turned it over twice (once on the first play of OT!), plus two blocked FGs by the Cardinals. On the last play of regulation - I can't even describe how awesome it was, after thinking we were screwed when Navy set up for a 24-yarder. It was, unbelievably, Brady Hoke's first OOC win against a I-A team. Now, with three should-be-gimmes left on the schedule (Buffalo, Toledo and NIU), the Cards just need to win two of CMU, Western Kentucky, @WMU, @Illinois, and @IU to most likely go to a bowl game. After that Miami stinker, I couldn't have hoped that BSU could have played better than they have the past two weeks.
  17. One of my roommates is a Purdue fan and kiddingly told me that the Boilers will put up 50 on ND. I'm starting to believe him.
  18. Wisconsin and The Citadel tied at 21 with under a minute left in the half.
  19. Edmonds can drop his own soap. Damn it.
  20. I love Ward. .347 average? I mean, are you kidding me? BTW, his post-ASB OPS is 1.180, and his September OPS is 1.434.
