  1. Ball State's Worst Season Ever Watch: 0-10 after getting blown out by UC Santa Barbara at home.
  2. Yup. Been a strange season for Carolina. 4-0 against the NFC West 2-3 against the NFC South (Tampa Bay left) 0-1 against their 2 other NFC games (Dallas left) 0-4 against the AFC South Last year Carolina went 8-8 and went 5-1 in the division, sweeping New Orleans and Tampa while going 3-7 in the rest of their games, including splitting four games against the AFC North. They're just a weird team. The Bears losing last night pretty much took care of whatever playoff hopes the Panthers may have had...they're in the race mathematically but have no real chance.
  3. Ball State's Worst Season Ever Watch: 0-9 after a ten-point loss to a pathetic Arkansas State team.
  4. Stupid Panthers can't do anything right...they suck for 13 games, then when it comes time to lose to better teams for draft purposes, they beat a division champion for no reason. I suppose next we'll beat Dallas for some reason.
  5. Roids wore off. NO! How dare you. The guy who told him how to hit homers, who only the he saw, was named George Baruth (omg, George "Babe" Ruth?!?!) and he left town at the end of the book. That's when he stopped hitting homers. Hahaha, I remember that part. Then he wrote the sequel where Eddie Cicotte of the Black Sox shows up and teaches him how to be a jackass.
  6. Good, Brady Hoke was starting to get mentioned for that one.
  7. The list you saw was bogus, and Prior and Wood weren't mentioned at all in the Mitchell Report. Sammy wasn't either, outside of some 2005 congressional hearing discussion. You can find OMC's compilation of who was in it at this link. Sorry about the yellow in the link, I found it through Search.
  8. I think everyone who makes this argument does. While we're on the subject, I don't know the numbers of pitchers in innings they have to record 4 or more outs (as Prior was charged with doing in that game), but I can be pretty sure they're significantly worse than ones in which they only have to get 3.
  9. We've now got a steroid snitch in Bigbie and one of the more disappointing #1 draft picks in recent memory in Bryan Bullington. Go Cardinals!!!
  10. I think it's fair to say that the Cubs are the best team in the Central as of this moment, and I think it's also fair to say that could change before April.
  11. I'm not going to say you're wrong because I'm noncommittal, but how the hell are we supposed to know how big Sammy's biceps are in the picture on the right?
  12. Marvin Benard Barry Bonds Bobby Estalella Jason Giambi Jeremy Giambi Benito Santiago Gary Sheffield Randy Velarde Lenny Dysktra David Segui Larry Bigbie Brian Roberts Jack Cust Tim Laker Josias Manzanillo Todd Hundley Mark Carreon Hal Morris Matt Franco Rondell White Roger Clemens Andy Pettite Chuck Knoblauch Jason Grimsley Greg Zaun David Justice F.P. 13. I thought the same thing. It's been posted here before, can't remember where or when.
  14. Troll How is that being a troll? Teams are going to be interested in picking up Prior. I don't understand who him showing interest in having his team sign Prior can be considered trolling. He's kidding.
  15. To say NSBB would explode would be the understatement of the year if ever a deal like that went down! I mean, he's completely serious with that post. I, uh, don't know what to say. Hahahahahaha, I guess the Orioles just release like 7 guys from the 25-man after that deal, and who the hell is Bradford that we'd give up Veal for him? I don't know a Bradford.
  16. Murton really has value. I wish he would play here, but I get why they are dealing him. He'll likely be part of the package that lands Hendry Brian Roberts. I'd prefer him and Gallagher go toward landing us Blanton, and Pie and Hill and EPatt land us Roberts and Bedard, and Dempster and Marshall and Derosa land us Burnett. (Just listing some of the rumors in this thread!) Imagine, if you can... Zambrano Bedard Burnett Lilly Blanton  =D> \:D/ :pig:   That could theoretically work. Yeah, it could, though it would empty the farm, and would still leave us short two OF. (A CF and a 4th OF) But, heck, with that rotation, an NL Pennant would seem to be virtually assured. Virtually assured? How about this rotation: Prior Wood Maddux Zambrano Clement What are you talking about? Alluding to the 2004 rotation that was popularly thought good enough to win a pennant by itself.
  17. I've never followed a better pitching season than Mark Prior's 2003. At the time I thought he could be the best ever.
  18. How reliable is this insider? I don't know if it's the same one, but I believe the Tejada deal earlier today was broken by one of them.
  19. I'm pretty sure blind men in India have seen pics of OMC's girlfriend by now
  20. Really? Those were like the first books I ever read. I wore "Soccer Halfback" out from reading it so much.
  21. THE BRUINS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!!
  22. I like PTI, mainly because Kornheiser and Wilbon aren't prone to sweeping generalizations, stupid statements and general d-baggery like the ATH guys.
  23. Washington State went with Eastern Washington's coach instead of Brady Hoke. Michigan's now the only job he's been linked to, so if they don't hire him, we get to keep him for at least one more season.
