  1. Office 07 kicks Office 2003 in the crotch so hard that Office 2003 actually throws up a little bit.
  2. I'm looking forward to October. Considering the rest of the Central, a nonplayoff season should result in immediate firings.
  3. i know you can say this about a lot of games, but there were a few plays up to this point that went usc's way that were extremely lucky and would have changed the complexion of the game. I will concede I didn't think USC would be winning with turnovers. Unfortunate for Illinois fans that the receivers keep fumbling in USC territory.
  4. Since ND was brought up, it's worth noting that ND beat all 2 of the non-bowl teams on this year's schedule. The way next year's schedule stacks up, if they continued to beat all the non-bowl teams and only the non-bowl teams, they'd finish 7-5. The 08 schedule is kind of ridiculous in its easiness, and hopefully that combined with all the freshmen gaining experience this year (ND was the first team in history to get more yards passing, receiving and rushing from the freshman class than any other class) will lead to a winning record. If not, CW might be gone.
  5. Was this game more or less of a foregone conclusion beatdown than last year's ND/LSU Sugar Bowl? I figure my feeling of 'hope for the sake of hope even though we're gonna get killed' for that game was about the same as Illinois's this year.
  6. Game 5! (I'm hoping the Cubs win their first 3)
  7. Well, my picks went to hell today. The Big Ten is 2-2 but I predict will end up 2-5 in bowl games.
  8. ND downs North Florida 77-58. 10-2 non-conference record with Big East play starting on Thursday against West Virginia. Ball State's Worst Season Ever Watch - the Cardinals finally, at long last, win. BSU 69, IPFW 62 in the first game back for Anthony Newell, who scores 18 and adds 7 boards. But the story is 5th-year senior Peyton Stovall, who tallies a career-high 37 points and a career-high 5 steals to go with 4 assists and 9 rebounds to move into the top 20 all-time in scoring at BSU. Great day in Muncie.
  9. Wow, great argument.
  10. Once they hit rock bottom at 5-8, Carolina beat Seattle, nearly beat Dallas, and beat Tampa's backups. No team in the NFL is better at turning it on once their playoff hopes are in the toilet. Jerks. DeAngelo ran for 120 - can we please, please, please start him over Foster next year, or are we content for DeShaun to average 3.5 yards a carry for the rest of his life?
  11. Don't need to tell me about Porter. I watched him play us this year. Shutdown.
  12. That was only there from 2001-03. What an embarrassment.
  13. I have Vista, and while I certainly expected more, I've had no major problems.
  14. I think ND's current green jerseys are very snazzy, though I'm willing to concede opposing arguments. Those throwback greens looked awful though.
  15. ND clobbers the chumps from Brown 87-54 in preparation for their duel with one of the worst teams in the country, North Florida, on Monday. Ball State's best player, Newell, out since game 2 with a foot injury, expected to get some playing time against IPFW on Monday to get ready for league play.
  16. He will indeed catch many passes once Illinois is down 14+.
  17. No worries, Eli will blow chunks in Tampa like he always does in January, and all the higher seeds - except Jacksonville over Pittsburgh - will win their first round games.
  18. 2-1 today, and I'm not sure many people saw Miss St coming, so I'll call it a good day. Also, PSU's are up with Notre Dame's current unis (they've had some cruddy ones in the past, but the current ones are awesome) as my favorites in the college game.
  19. I'm convinced that ASU was playing with 9 defenders last night. That's the only logical explanation for no one ever being near Texas players in the open field last night.
  20. Less than the Cubs were going to offer and no option. I think it's pretty clear he wanted out all along.
  21. I had 31 points on BYU - I was about cooked if I lost that.
  22. Ball State's Worst Season Ever Watch: 0-11 after losing to Illinois State 65-49. ND sucks it up in the 2nd half and barely beats San Francisco. Uninspiring day.
  23. That was very entertaining. My 32-0 dreams remain alive (although I had, like, 2 points on Utah).
  24. Miami (Ohio) over the Illini and Pitt over Duke. Good day for the two conferences I have teams in. Oh, and Purdue lost to Wofford yesterday. Not a good week for the Big Ten.
  25. ESPN didn't name Sosa on the bottom line either, and I have to believe if Sosa really had been named that they would've mentioned it. He's kind of a big name.
