  1. And that team is up over 40 wins already. Haha, I can't be mad right now.
  2. I really don't care about beating the Sox any more than another team on the schedule, despite the minor annoyances of their fans paying far too much attention to us.
  3. I liked the Rays before this series. Now I hate their fans, their dump ballpark, their stupid uniforms, and their bullpen full of castoffs. This place can go to hell. Let's go get the Sox.
  4. I don't feel like now is the time for our first time getting swept this year, so I agree with you.
  5. This should be an exciting Olympics. My cousin will be competing in the men's eight rowing event, which should be fun.
  6. Where is the ICEY mod, DDS? I bought this game and am curious because having the logos and player pics would be splendid. Thanks!
  7. The Cardinals are picking a very nice time to suck.
  8. I wouldn't have bothered calling you on this, but you didn't offer an alternative. Blake Griffin James Harden Stephen Curry Ahhh, Stephen Curry. See, now I'm more than happy to concede the point.
  9. I wouldn't have bothered calling you on this, but you didn't offer an alternative.
  10. ND has everyone but Rob Kurz back (including the best returning player outside Chapel Hill), so I'm thinking 4 or 3 seed this year, possibly an Elite Eight run with a good NCAA draw. I enjoy the media love - ND's been projected top 5 numerous times - but I don't see them being THAT good. Although if they were, that ND/UCLA matchup would be a-MAZ-ing. Ball State will suck again.
  11. That and he went to a team that had been crappy which I beleive Ray didn't. And KG didn't play great in the finals but did his most important job. Rebound and play D. Kobe on the other hand was pretty bad especially the last three games. Yeah, the Kobe/MJ thing is done and over. He wasn't good at all this series.
  12. I'm happy for Pierce, who had a great great series. I really don't care that much about KG Ray Bourque-ing for his championship (yes, I know, unlike Ray, KG didn't actually want to leave).
  13. I would like to see him come back as soon as he's ready to.
  14. Neither do I. The novelty's more or less played out for me.
  15. I really thought we were going to win that whole 9th inning. Even though they didn't, they put up a hell of an effort and if Willy Aybar doesn't make a very difficult pick with Reed bearing down on him we probably end up winning. Good effort. We've got Z tomorrow so let's even this thing up.
  16. Good to see this. Hopefully we can see Theriot/Fukudome at 1/2 in Tampa. (In a perfect scenario Fuku would be leading off, but I'm not getting my hopes up for that.)
  17. This was the first time I watched golf for an extended period of time (a good portion of both Sunday and today's rounds) and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I'll have to do it more often.
  18. This AL-DH nonsense is why I almost exclusively watch NL games on my MLB.TV. Sort of like how Bill Simmons doesn't know anything about what happens in the NL, I rarely pay attention to anything going on in the AL. The only reason I even know who is leading each AL division is because two of them have by turns competed with the Cubs for best record in baseball and one is the team across town.
  19. Put the Rays in the http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e67/ndistops/Dumpster.jpg My friend told me tonight, "This team is sweepable...every team is sweepable for the Cubs." It's true, and I love hearing it. Let's do this! I also have a job interview tomorrow - not a 'real' job, but a better one and a full time one - so it could be a very good or very bad day.
  20. He said something like since he didn't go to college, this is his Elite 8. 3 games to win it all. Interesting and probably smart way of looking at it. I don't think they can do it though. Boston will likely close it out tomorrow.
  21. Exactly. Strike while the iron is hot. Would this be a salary dump or is he a FA after the year? If it's not a salary thing, why not try to ship Marquis over, seeing as he's about at his peak value at the moment. I believe he's signed through at least 09.
  22. I never want to hear Kobe vs. MJ again. The craptacular second half Kobe put up tonight (apart from the steal that was actually a foul) would've never ever ever ever ever happened to Michael Jordan in a gazillion years.
  23. Because they already had the season where no one gets hurt (2004). Now they get to have the season where everyone gets hurt and they inexplicably play well anyway.
  24. Todd Walker vs. the Sox a few years ago. It was too complete the sweep as well. Yep. Sunday night ESPN game and it was a pitchers duel between Rusch and Buehrle That was a walk. I remember that game very clearly. Wasn't it raining hard, Sosa hit a HR, and made a great catch to end the threat in the 8th? I'm pretty sure that was the Saturday game of that same series.
  25. Top of the order due up for STL next inning. That means a 3-run homer for either Ludwick or Ankiel is about the most predictable thing ever.
