    Of all the losses last year, that one hurt the least. You won't believe that but it's true. i can believe it... notre dame fans knew the season was totally hopeless, and it's hard to root against navy because they're a service academy with physically-overmatched players who will go to serve their country after graduation. Navy being Navy actually had little to do with it - it was just that I knew the streak was going to end sometime (and it should have on a bunch of different occasions in the last 15 years or so), so I figured it might as well end in a year where everything else was in hell.

    This X a trillion. Might as well. The Cubs already have a ridiculous amount of haters (Sox fans, Cards fans, Brewers fans, plus some), might as well justify it.

    The Cubs WILL win this game by more than 3 runs. And the Brewers will lose.

    I'm pissed off, but I'm still not worried. I don't know why not, because I should be. I keep feeling like the next 6 or 7 game win streak is around the corner. It'd be nice if it started in Milwaukee.

    There's definitely some irony in a guy like Fernando Tatis homering to tie a game against a team like the Cardinals. Scrub vs. Scrubs. Especially since Tatis once was a great beneficiary of Cardinal Magic before it became in vogue.

    Why is it suddenly necessary to move Kosuke to CF? I'm not all that keen on taking Edmonds's bat out of the lineup, personally.

    Well, I might sneak into the 2nd or 3rd round next year then. Interesting: Josh Freeman, soph yr - 63.3 comp %, 6.7 yards per pass, 18:11 TD:INT, 127.3 rating Matt Ryan, jr yr - 61.6%, 6.9 y/pass, 15:10 TD:INT, 126.4 rating I don't think a "mediocre" year from Freeman should make him the #1 pick, just as I don't think Matt Ryan should have been the first QB taken in the draft. But, I can see the precedent for an NFL team falling in love with Freeman's natural skills (he is 6'6, 250) much like they did Ryan's and not looking at the stats. Freeman's sophomore year and Ryan's junior year were eerily similar. Freeman won't have Jordy Nelson to save his ass. I don't know what Ryan' decision making abilities were like, but freeman's are pretty bad. The offense is basically designed to make him think as little as possible. Ryan threw about eleventy billion more interceptions than any previous high-rated draft QB, so it's safe to say his decision-making wasn't great. I would have thought you would go off on a tangent considering how much you hate Ryan and BC. I've gone off on my tangents. Now that Ryan is in my NFL team's division he doesn't annoy me as much because I like to imagine Ken Lucas and Chris Gamble picking him off all day long.
