This isn't the most reliable thing ever, but I do read Paul Lukas's Uni Watch blog each day to see if any notable uniform changes have occurred or are occurring, and today he posted this tidbit in his end-of-entry 'news ticker': If true, thoughts?
In other less than impressive BCS conference news, UNC is ahead of McNeese State by all of 1 point, 21-20, late in the 3rd. And also, soccer10k's UCD Aggies are leading San Jose State 10-0, just starting the 2nd half.
I lived 15 minutes from Clemson as a kid. I keep waiting for them to be good so I can halfheartedly jump on their bandwagon, but they do this every year.
we were supposed to play middle tennessee, but the backed out. i guess chattanooga's AD is a friend of our AD, so we gave them 500 grand to come be a patsy at the last minute. They said their entire sports budget is 10 mil, so that's a fair chunk of change. we pulled the first teamers early in the second quarter Is the fact that it's a replacement game for Middle Tennessee supposed to make it better? Middle Tennessee is probably better than well over half the opponents of Top 25 teams today.
MAC did pretty well for itself this weekend thus far. Ball State and CMU clobbered I-AA patsies, BG beat Pitt, Ohio played well in a loss at Wyoming and NIU is down 4 to Minnesota in the 3rd quarter. I'm not usually one for MAC pride, but it's good to see my alma mater's conference not be a pushover. BTW, congratulations Utah for failing to give Michigan the game despite their best efforts for a quarter and a half.
I can't decide if I hope Carolina/San Diego makes the 3 pm Fox game or not. Although it will probably be the Cleveland game, which I will avoid because of my irrational hatred for Derek Anderson.
That was us, and I'm insulted by that. NCCubFan, the Navy game next week is on Friday and on ESPN. It is going to be all kinds of awesome. The Cubs will definitely be taking a back seat for me that night (if they even play at night; I don't usually look at the time of the games this far in advance). They do, I looked. The Cubs are No. 2 that night for me as well, mostly because there's not a whole lot left at stake.
Len had a badass call of that slam. I didn't hear it the first time because I was screaming. Seriously, on days like this I can't even think of things I don't love about being a Cubs fan.
Ball State clobbered Northeastern tonight 48-14 - the Huskies scored with less than a minute left in each half, otherwise you're looking at a whitewash. 280 yards, 3 TDs for Nate Davis, almost 100 yards for MiQuale Lewis after compiling 78 in the first quarter. A solid start and tune-up for Navy next week.
I mean, I can't even describe it anymore. It's unbelievable. Every time I'm about to decide that THIS time the Cubs aren't going to come back and win, they turn around and do it. I love them all. It's crazy but I do.
Howry in line for another win. BTW, it bears repeating how much I LOVE THIS DAMN TEAM. No other year do we have a chance in this one, but this year...all I can say is what my avatar says.
