  1. Have fun trying to get someone to sign you Cotts. What trash.
  2. Lou effectively blacklisted Pignatiello for doing this exact thing in 2007. I really hope this is the end of Cotts.
  3. There is no GD reason for Neal Cotts to be on this team. Good God. Get SOMEBODY ELSE up here, I don't care if they're a lefty.
  4. What's cool is that if he doesn't Pujols is next.
  5. Wow, horrible by Fontenot. I'd be fine except that Cotts is about to pull an act of self-immolation on the mound.
  6. In general, Fuku seems to have pitches called strikes on the outside that I see no other hitter in baseball get called on. Lee gets a lot of pitches called strikes that are low. Although, I hate it, it is kind of understandable. Actually, I've thought for a while that Lee gets calls that most of the Cubs don't get. It seems like he does on the outside, but not down, but that's just me and obviously it's not scientific. Yeah, you might be right. Basically, umpires are weird. I think we're going to win. If this comes down to bullpens, theirs out-sucks ours.

  8. Soriano walks on ball 5. Just in the inning I've been watching we've gotten screwed twice on ball/strike calls.
  9. Nope. And we could obviously use another lefty. I'd rather have no lefties at all than keep Neal Cotts on this team one more day.
  10. What's hilarious is that we never 'get away' with anything. It's well documented that any time we have a possible suspension issue in the last five years or so that we get screwed worse than any reasonable prediction. See: Kerry Wood 2004, Dusty Baker 2004, Lou Piniella 2007, and plenty other examples that I can't immediately think of right now.
  11. I'll be at the Notre Dame spring game during the Bulls game, on a date during the Cubs game and working later tonight (though I'm not a hockey fan so that's irrelevant). Oops.
  12. Because the Yankees will specifically retire Mariano's pinstriped number, including a ceremony or whatever else they do. They are certainly lame enough to do that.
  13. That was an awesome game to have gone to. Props to the Cardinals fan who gave us a high five when we were carrying our big-ass W flag around outside after the game. Marmol is a god. Soriano is bizarrely Mr. Clutch all of a sudden. The Evil Trinity of Ludwick, Duncan and Ankiel all tore the hell out of the ball, but they can all bite me.
  14. Someone very important in the St. Louis organization has to have sold his soul for all this ridiculous luck the last five years. Probably La Russa.
  15. MLB already retired Mariano Rivera's number for every team, I'm not sure why we keep bringing him up.
  16. I haven't looked yet to see where they came from, but I've just reached the point where I assume any idiot they pick up is going to rake. I'm so sick and tired of seeing their horrid off-season moves pay off. Our horrid off-season moves have made us look hideous this season, the Cards' put them in 1st place through 11 games. Ridiculous.
  17. The Cardinals have so many crappy players that their names are starting to be the same. Brian Barton, Brian Barden...
  18. Wind-Aided Homers: Opponents 1, Cubs 0
  19. For God's sake. Effing Conjoined Fetus Left Fielder and his basket homers.
  20. Jim Edmonds whistles, walks away slowly. Hurr Jim Edmonds takes it in the..... Oh, wait. We like him now. I've moved from active hatred to vague dislike. His showboating in CF with the Cardinals annoyed the hell out of me. I like him. He carried us at times last year and he also hit a home run in the playoffs last year. Only God knocked it down.
