  1. I had a feeling Marmol's magic wouldn't last through the 8th.
  2. Conjoined Fetus Left Fielder still killing us.
  3. He's been getting calls like that ever since 2005, for some reason.
  4. Yeah, that wasn't horrible, but only a perfect bunt is getting you on base there.
  5. C'mon Soriano...swing that bat. He could've hit that to Mars.
  6. Two foulouts and a swinging bunt groundout against those three hitters. He is SO FREAKING GOOD.
  7. God he's so sexy...now get this pixie-dust punk and finish this
  8. Holy crap!! Oquendo's okay, thank goodness.
  9. Right down effing Broadway on that 0-1 pitch, ump
  10. Have fun trying to get someone to sign you Cotts. What trash.
  11. Lou effectively blacklisted Pignatiello for doing this exact thing in 2007. I really hope this is the end of Cotts.
  12. There is no GD reason for Neal Cotts to be on this team. Good God. Get SOMEBODY ELSE up here, I don't care if they're a lefty.
  13. What's cool is that if he doesn't Pujols is next.
  14. Wow, horrible by Fontenot. I'd be fine except that Cotts is about to pull an act of self-immolation on the mound.
  15. In general, Fuku seems to have pitches called strikes on the outside that I see no other hitter in baseball get called on. Lee gets a lot of pitches called strikes that are low. Although, I hate it, it is kind of understandable. Actually, I've thought for a while that Lee gets calls that most of the Cubs don't get. It seems like he does on the outside, but not down, but that's just me and obviously it's not scientific. Yeah, you might be right. Basically, umpires are weird. I think we're going to win. If this comes down to bullpens, theirs out-sucks ours.

  17. Soriano walks on ball 5. Just in the inning I've been watching we've gotten screwed twice on ball/strike calls.
  18. Nope. And we could obviously use another lefty. I'd rather have no lefties at all than keep Neal Cotts on this team one more day.
  19. What's hilarious is that we never 'get away' with anything. It's well documented that any time we have a possible suspension issue in the last five years or so that we get screwed worse than any reasonable prediction. See: Kerry Wood 2004, Dusty Baker 2004, Lou Piniella 2007, and plenty other examples that I can't immediately think of right now.
  20. I'll be at the Notre Dame spring game during the Bulls game, on a date during the Cubs game and working later tonight (though I'm not a hockey fan so that's irrelevant). Oops.
  21. Because the Yankees will specifically retire Mariano's pinstriped number, including a ceremony or whatever else they do. They are certainly lame enough to do that.
