  1. Was it? Hm. I guess the blood pouring from my eyes distracted me. I could have sworn it was his throwing arm he was holding. Me too, but I guess Len said it was his left shoulder. I wasn't listening so I defer to the consensus.

  3. It was his throwing shoulder. :( No it wasn't. Did I miss something? He landed on his right hand, screwing up his right shoulder. Is that not his throwing shoulder? Screw you Miles, you piece of trash.
  4. Just when I was starting to have a little hope for this team. This is definitely 2004 all over again. There are, what, five regulars playing tonight? Whatever's wrong with Soto, Lee's mysterious neck spasms, Ramirez done for months, Z on the shelf...this is ridiculous.
  5. He definitely dislocated the shoulder when his hand landed. Dear lord. Why does this crap keep happening to us?
  6. Get on the phone, Jim, and find us a third baseman.
  7. Yeah, he's done for months. Maybe the season.
  8. Fukucopter, that Lou probably caused - I doubt Kosuke swings at that without Theriot running.
  9. Gathright traded to Baltimore for Freel. How does that free up a spot on the 25-man roster? Freel is technically currently rehabbing in the minors. Yeah, Scales will go down when Freel is ready.
  10. How was he better in 2008? His AVG, OBP, OPS, OPS+, wOBA, WPA, and most any other metric you can come up with were better than Miles' career numbers. Oh, better than his career, okay. But Miles was better in 2008, he was also better in 2007. Freel is hardly an upgrade to Miles. He's a very similar player who could easily be worse, again. Pixie-dust Aaron Miles shouldn't count. Normal Freel >> Normal Miles. I've been asking since the Gathright signing why we didn't just keep Pie if we wanted a speed-only guy on the bench. Pie was better on defense than Gathright anyway. So instead we trade for a guy who is a worse DeRosa. Sure seems like Hendry regrets a lot of his off-season already.
  11. There are so many idiots on this team that we could dump right now for Wells, but I'm guessing that something dumb like DFAing Guzman will be done.
  12. Yeah, I enjoy the actual sport of baseball more than football. Everything surrounding college football weekends is what puts it over the top for me.
  13. College football Baseball College hoops NFL NBA
  14. We would sweep, so I'd rather have the middle three games. :)
  15. Baker Bowl was the home run haven of the dead-ball era, wasn't it? I'm sure there's something there. The obvious answer for County Stadium is the Jake Taylor walk-off bunt single to win the AL East playoff over the Yankees.
  16. His immediate predecessor, no less.
  17. How about let's give incentive for Hasheem Thabeet and his ilk not to fake injuries so better shooters can shoot the free throws, then come back into the game 30 seconds later? Man let it go, Hasheem is gone now. I'm just saying. He's almost certainly a big reason for this rule change, having done the fake-injury thing twice in the 08-09 season.
