  1. It's on TNT too. The NBA and NHL, unlike MLB, let regional networks carry playoff games alongside national ones.
  2. Denise Richards's signing voice is as ugly as she is hot.
  3. Alfredo Amezaga is apparently the greatest fielding SS since Ozzie himself.
  4. Harden probably wants to break something but he'd somehow get injured in the process.
  5. I'm watching the replay and I've got to say the crowd was pretty awesome tonight. I'm sure Rondo probably helped that with his punkass behavior early on though.
  6. Ray Allen's awesome. I probably hate him the least of all the Celtics right now. Scares the bejeezus out of me.
  7. I'll give it a 20 percent chance, and that's being optimistic. They wouldn't call his foul a flagrant even retroactively, so I don't know how they'd move to kicking him out of the biggest first-round game this year. Yeah but they couldn't do that because they'd have been admitting that their referees screwed up. This foul has a MUCH better chance of getting Rondo suspended than the Game 5 foul. Suspending Rondo for Game 7 would've indicted the refs for not punishing Rondo more than they did. Probably at least on the same level as the flagrant controversy. I really don't think Rondo gets the axe, which is unfortunate because Allen will never score 51 points again.

  9. Guys, how "ever" is this playoff series? Like, greatest non-Finals ever? 7 overtimes in six games? Five of the games are instant classics? How unbelievable is this? The Celts can't possibly blow us out in Game 7. I'm pretty sure they'll win somehow, but they're older and have played six OTs of basketball in the last four days.
  10. I've decided on the red Gordon jersey over the black Rose, which is 1-1 in the first round. Gordon making its series debut.
  11. that's why i laugh at teams that traded a first or second round pick in next year's draft for a worse pick in this year's draft. Stop making me cry.
  12. To sum up the last 4 pages: The Bulls should never have allowed the game to get to the situation that it got to. That doesn't mean the refs were any less wrong for not calling a flagrant-1 on Rajon Rondo. Ben Gordon celebrating a series-saving shot in Game 4 and KG jumping into BG's face after Game 5 when he's accomplished absolutely nothing this series besides proving himself a giant douche for a whole city's worth of fans are on the same level.
  13. 2008 was our year. I thought it in 2008, I thought it all off-season, and this pathetic showing isn't doing anything to sway me. Of the current 25 man roster, I'm not sick of about 5 of them.
  14. I think we both know that the free throw numbers by themselves rarely tell the whole story. this is true, but i haven't seen much in the way of favoritism in this series, and i don't have a rooting interest. SSR is also right about the "flagrant foul," it's never getting called in such an important spot unless the defender basically closes his fist and slugs the guy. I've only seen Games 4 and 5. I thought we probably got more calls tonight than we did in Game 4, if anything. I'm not really disagreeing with him, I'm just saying you can't disprove thoughts of bad officiating by just citing free-throw numbers.

  16. There was a time I liked KG. Now I wish someone would do to him what Rondo did to Brad Miller. Punkass. BG's done a hell of a lot more for his team in this series, including gutting it out the last three halves, than KG has for his. I don't have as many ref complaints as most - I think we got a few calls in the 2nd half that we normally wouldn't get on the road - but I don't see why Rajon Rondo is getting calls any time he initiates contact on the drive now. And I really don't see how many times Gordon or Salmons is going to have to be put on their backs while taking a runner or jump shot before a whistle's blown. Gordon was pretty much thrown to the floor on that wild shot he hit in OT.
  17. It's the kind of move the Cardinals would make and we would bitch about when Koyie did what he's doing. Hendry can be smart once in a while.
  18. If he'd gone up stronger maybe Rondo can't hit him in the face and he has a better chance of making the shot somehow.
