Purdue could be a 5-1 team. I'm hoping that's a shot at CubbieBum and not a serious thing. They're not 5-1 because they're not good. No they aren't. I'm just saying that they aren't as bad as their record and it takes a lot of bad luck to lose that many close games. I'm also a Big Ten homer. Fair enough. I do think they're capable of being better than they have been - they played pretty well against ND.

Ball State's game with Purdue is being moved to Dec. 19th in Indy for the Wooden Tradition. Was going to be in Mackey on Dec. 5th. I like it. Good chance to get some exposure.

I almost knew that was going to happen - I think it was a few days after Daryle Ward's homer off Kevin Gregg, which officially pushed the 2008 Cubs into "they don't surprise me anymore" mode regarding comebacks and clutch hitting.

No disrespect, but don't you think those opponents are looking at the Panthers as their opportunity to get well? Probably. But the Bucs are 0-5, and the Bills just lost to a QB that went 2/17 - I think they have a lot more to deal with than we do.

Carolina's cream-puff October continues. Bye, vs Skins, at Bucs, vs Bills is our October schedule. Need to win this week and next to keep playoff hopes alive because it's not easy after that.

They wore them in a win against Army in 2006 - the idea being to honor the senior class of that year that had contributed so much, I guess (last home game). Supposedly his kid came up with the idea.

Yeah, I got pretty excited for that. Weis said the earliest he'd be back would be Pitt, so that's actually four weeks too late. FWIW, he also said ND will wear blue, not green, on Saturday.

Yeah you guys should get JaMarcus Russell. Talented guys who give a crap. So, you want Carolina to trade for Brady Quinn. It all makes sense now. :) And Joe Thomas, Darren McFadden, Louis Murphy, Josh Cribbs... The great thing about it is those teams will give those guys up for garbage.

Was that the game against the Brewers? I'm almost positive he had something like 16 or 17 K's in a game against the Brewers but ended up with the lost. Reds. He didn't lose the game but left with it tied at 1 and we lost. Only run was a Sammy homer but it was after the fans had turned on him.

I've come to the conclusion that Carolina needs to trade for some talented guys on the Browns and Raiders. The jump in production just for leaving those organizations seems to be huge.
