That call made no sense. The ball WAS held and it wasn't until Butler appeared to be in possession until they called the jumpball.

The sad thing is, Nantz isn't really that bad a play by play guy. He's a bit vanilla, but tolerable. Those stupid staged endings are his only real flaw, but it's so glaringly dumb.

More spring games that will be viewable, all for the Big Ten junkies. Ohio State's will be aired April 24th at 2 pm on Big Ten Network. Michigan's and Wisconsin's will both be at 1 pm on April 17th, streamed online by the Big Ten Network. Illinois's and Michigan State's will follow that same script on April 24th.

Mark Prior was pretty big. and he got hit on the elbow with a line drive, his pitching elbow, just when he looked like he was putting it together. his [expletive] pitching elbow Dusty killed him and he was probably going to be done within months regardless. dusty overworked him, but he got hit on his pitching elbow with a [expletive] line drive while he was pitching well. oh yeah, and he also got tackled and thrown on his shoulder once, too. and alex gonzalez (the alex gonzalez that led the league in fielding percentage) boots a double play behind him after some weirdo goes down in cub lore in game 6 of the nlcs. if you don't think weird things happen to this team all of the time you aren't watching, ever. I didn't dispute the 'weird [expletive] happens to the Cubs' thing. I just think Mark Prior being run into the ground was relatively speaking on the low end of the weird scale. -

I feel like that was the series that Fonzie hit 3 homers, Renteria elbowed Fontenot in the face and Lilly got tossed for no good reason.

there will be no more deals. ricketts is a giant turd. now we're going to get to see a real tightwad own our team, those days of a top 3 payroll will be long gone as soon as he can shed some contracts. I couldn't care less if the payroll is high if we have smart people spending the money. Our sky high payroll has won us exactly 0 playoff games in 6 years.
