  1. Don't know, but Texas is about to go pick-less for the first time since 1938.
  2. Aaron Murray and AJ McCarron went in back to back picks in round 5. Murray to Chiefs and McCarron to Bengals.
  3. Nix to Houston on the same line with Clowney and Watt. That's not bad.
  4. Mayock said he thought he was a first-rounder till he reviewed more tape and determined he was inconsistent. Of course they said the same thing about Greg Hardy.
  5. I know nothing about Kony Ealy. Scouting report?
  6. Tuitt's a great pick by Pittsburgh. He should be solid.
  7. The Cubs have made precious few offensive signings of anyone who is known for patience (David DeJesus and Valbuena are the only ones I can think of). I'm not sure why that is, but I'm hoping they're doing a better job of teaching it in the minors.
  8. Thought the Jaguars taking Bortles so high was brutal. Especially with the way the draft unfolded. Don't know if it was mentioned here, but Gus Bradley said that even if Clowney had been there at 3, the Jags would have still taken Bortles. It must be nice for fans who have Jacksonville in their division.
  9. Good to see the 'important' guys playing big roles tonight.
  10. Bridgewater was a great move for Minny. I don't necessarily think either he or Manziel will be great, but I'd bet on Bridgewater first. Like the Benjamin pick for Carolina. Betting on upside. Gettleman nailed the draft last year so I'll give him benefit of the doubt on him over Lee, who has injury issues. We'll have another WR by the time tomorrow's session is over.
  11. Schefter reported that the Browns nearly traded with Tennessee for Manziel but it fell apart at the last minute
  12. It's too perfect not to happen
  13. If they don't, the fall is on.
  14. Yep, they're getting Manziel.
  15. I think we're going to have to face Evans twice a year anyway.
  16. I seriously doubt they will, but I'm in your boat there.
  17. It definitely does. Not sure how to feel about that as a fan of a division rival, but it would be interesting.
  18. Eh, not really. I thought Cleveland should have gotten a pick or two more in this year's draft - next year won't be nearly as stocked as this year. Still, the Bills are (IMO) unlikely to be that great. That ought to be a top 20 pick, which is pretty nice if Cleveland was honed in on a few other guys as it appears they were (Evans, maybe Manziel)
  19. Kalish shouldn't even be leading off for the Iowa Cubs, let alone the MLB Cubs.
  20. It's sad that I have to hope he does poorly otherwise various people are going to go on and on about how he would have been a Cub if Theo didn't wait too long and let Garza get hurt. Was he legitimately on the table? Seems hard to believe given he was only 18 at the time. I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that he was on the table last year as the final piece until the Rangers saw issues with Garza's shoulder and it instead became Olt. I believe ABTY also said Odor and Perez were both parts of the 2012 package that was just about done before Garza got hurt. If those reports are accurate, that really sucks.

  22. Yes, but Schefter reported earlier today that the Texans are going to use the pick (presumably on Clowney).
  23. I'll be floored if he isn't the first QB taken and doesn't go top 10. Yeah, he's not falling too far. I imagine he'll be gone after pick 8, whether to Minnesota or through trade.
  24. [expletive] that. They aren't going to be embarrassed into trying. I'd rather they just win a game. This. We're not going to stop punting seasons because the plan to do so goes even better than expected, so let's win a damn game.
  25. I would probably have grabbed a RB here, but all the backs I like are off the board. Carolina needs as many WRs as they can get and could use a game-breaking returner. Might as well grab the best imitation of Steve Smith available in the draft and select Dri Archer, Kent State.
