    Shark's windup looks slightly different today. Glove-hand closer to his chest as opposed to by his legs like usual.

    Pretty sure there won't be any starting pitchers. Wood, Arrieta and Jackson seem likely to be back at this point. Shark and Hammel good bets to be gone. Villanueva a FA. If the Cubs can get one of the bigger-fish SP, hit on another Feldman/Hammel/Maholm type (and/or land a major-league ready SP when they trade Shark/Hammel) and not have too many severe injuries, that might be ok. That's a fair amount of ifs, though.

    Kris Bryant is so offended by Hoyer's stated belief that he needs to dominate more to be promoted that he's decided to not make another out until he's on the big league team.

    You are the new most awful person on this site. Who the hell cares about the stupid Marlins anymore? I'm over it. Yeah I get it they beat us in 03, their owner is a POS, they stole money from Miami taxpayers for a stadium no one goes to, and their fans are horrible, the few that they have. I dunno I'd rather see a young unheralded core make the playoffs in relative obscurity than see the stupid Cardinals or Reds make it instead. I'd sign up for the playoffs above 100 times out of 100 just to keep STL out of it, but I'd sure as hell be rooting for that organization to lose ASAP.

    I don't want the Marlins anywhere near the playoffs because they'd somehow figure out a way to win it all yet again.

    Yesterday notwithstanding, it's getting really annoying that we keep trotting lefties that can't hit lefties out to bat against lefties in the late innings of close games.     A max contract value of 8Y/35M seems awful low for a guy with an OPS north of .900 in AAA at age 22 (and he also put up one of nearly .900 in AA at age 20 before an off year last year). Surprised he'd take that.

    He's probably our most valuable non-player employee. And even including players he's gotta come in the top 10 Important? Sure. Valuable? What positive has he done since Ricketts took over? Well, we could play that game with everyone in this entire organization except for the moles who convinced Houston not to draft Bryant last June.
