Ball State is puckering big time at Iowa right now.

They're terrible Is it conceivable that they're worse than KU? I never knew it before but I really want to see Purdue face KU now.

What I learn from channel-surfing each Saturday is that there are like 5 tolerable color guys in the whole of college football media. It's ridiculous.

When the calendar hits September, they stop losing and everyone they need to lose starts losing.

Not surprising as this game has all the looks of a shootout and you always want the points in one of those.

I hoped that would be the case. Could that in any way influence staying with WGN? Or is it a done deal already? I think Oregon will probably squeak it out but I'd be surprised if it was a blowout (and if these teams played last year, I think MSU wins). MSU really impressed me late last season.

I knew it was coming, but Baez' struggling is bumming me out. And yes, 'struggling' for a guy who was 2nd in the NL in HR in August is relative.

This is the type of game that Florida State gets to avoid by not playing in a conference that's any good. There may be a Clemson that wins 9-10 games, but the rest of that conference is 7-5 dreck or worse so they don't get tested with any consistency. Yeah, I was kinda thinking the same thing. Last year they destroyed everyone they played before the NCG so it didn't matter much, but the ACC should make for a soft landing if they can get out of this one. Of course, selfishly I'm hoping ND can draw one of these less than perfect performances so they can have a shot.

Meh, not really analogous. The minor league players are already playing for the organization you root for, whereas we generally have no idea where the college guys will be going once (if) they're in the pros.
