  1. Just popping in to say that that Russell dong was glorious. The game's on MLB.TV (Angels feed) if anyone didn't know.
  2. Sounds like Javy's first game action in CF isn't going so well.
  3. I love Harbaugh and think he's hilarious, which makes it even more infuriating that his previous employers were a bunch of morons and he fell right into the lap of the team I dislike most
  4. Never said last year's Bulls were great, but that 'gimpy short-handed Cleveland team' destroyed Atlanta in the ECF, so it's not a huge leap for me that the Bulls could've beaten them. The Bulls haven't been legitimate title threats for 18 years. More than half of our lives. There's been some fool's gold along the way and last year was definitely that. GSW would've absolutely defenestrated last year's Bulls. Of course they weren't a title threat. I never said they were. I am with UMF though that the 2011 Bulls were legitimate contenders, and 2012 was too prior to Rose breaking.
  5. I guess that's one way to describe losing to a gimpy short handed Cleveland team in the second round. Never said last year's Bulls were great, but that 'gimpy short-handed Cleveland team' destroyed Atlanta in the ECF, so it's not a huge leap for me that the Bulls could've beaten them.
  6. Most of this team was the same group that would've probably made the Finals last year if not for a Game 4 meltdown against Cleveland. Nice job, GarPax.
  7. You bastard. 20 or so of those sound amazing. I'm hungry.
  8. Grandpa Rossy forgot his birthday again
  9. So Zobrist or Heyward #2? I'd put Zobrist there myself, but I just don't really care. This has been a really good day.
  10. It's going to be a blast kicking the horsefeathers out of them this year and watching them bitch about it.
  11. he was born in Missouri grew up in Texas and turns 30 in spring training. He is an old redneck. He's much much closer to being Jon Lester than Addison Russell, Kris Bryant or Jason Heyward. And he went to an SEC school and he's best buds with Carpenter. TCU joined the SEC?
  12. I just can't wait until we sign Hinrich again this off-season
  13. No one wears 19 presently - wonder why Murton decided not to go with it.
  14. ND went from slightly better than 50/50 to make the tournament (my opinion) to tied for most wins in ACC play in just under a week. Pretty good stretch.
  15. It has to be they haven't planned out their games yet Pretty sure they go month-by-month with those decisions. Maybe even bi-weekly.
  16. Yep, multiple HD streams going at once in our house is an issue. Also, 4K and its successor are coming soon. Data caps are being implemented in a lot of areas. There's no free lunches in media consumption. Eventually, costs are going to rise a good bit on streaming if everyone transitions over to that. Bingo. Once cord cutting becomes the majority, the companies in charge of it will inevitably be able to get away with charging close to as much as cable + Internet currently costs for most people even if the bandwidth doesn't actually cost that much. (I admit I don't know all the particulars of the recent FCC net neutrality ruling, and if there's some provision in there that would prevent such a thing, feel free to call me an idiot.)
  17. The silver lining is that since Hoiberg is incompetent, maybe the Bulls can fall out of the playoffs and get a lottery ball. If you're going to willfully downgrade your coach without even the slightest major personnel change, you might as well benefit that way.
  18. that's just an inevitability that should be incorporated into their gameplan Agreed, I knew he would probably drop one - I was just hoping it wouldn't be a big one. Cotchery's drops were huge too. Cam was crappy, but he didn't get much help.
  19. Yes, he did, and as usual much too much is being made out of it. It wasn't a good look, but I'm sure he felt 100 times worse than I did, and if I'd had to address the media after that game for some reason, I'd have been pretty pissy too. There were basically 4 things that had to happen for Carolina to lose that game and they had all happened by midway through the third quarter, which is when I knew they were going to lose: - Defensive score (Von fumble TD) - Some sort of special teams disaster (That stupid horsefeathering punt return where our idiot players didn't know it wasn't a fair catch, and Gano clanking the FG [what the hell is it with Carolina kickers and the Super Bowl?]) - Offensive line completely unable to give Cam any time at all - A key drop by Ginn (which, in a lovely turn of events, directly led to an INT) Any of those 4 things doesn't happen and the game could've easily flipped, but they all did. Carolina's defense essentially gave up 2 field goals that were their fault and the other 18 points were either gifts or the Broncos defense being awesome.
  20. I thought it was Heyward for a second.
  21. I was going to post the same thing. I had a Murton love that bordered on the creepy.
  22. It shouldn't be a surprise given Lester and Heyward especially, but to see us so far ahead in the free agent listing is not something I expected. Also, 4.7 WAR higher than anyone else in baseball, so there's that
  23. It really shouldn't, but for whatever reason the fact that Carolina seems like a prohibitive favorite by most prognosticators is making me nervous.

    NFL Offseason

I don't think its' more. They are just splitting them differently. There may be more late season Saturday games. Correct. Instead of 8 CBS/8 NFLN-only, it's now 5 CBS/5 NBC/6 NFLN, plus Saturday/etc games. So this is probably a net positive, as it means less Nantz/Simms.
