  1. D Lee full blown broke his wrist, Rizzo still being in the game seems a good indication that didn't happen to him.
  2. This first inning horsefeathers is beyond ridiculous now.
  3. Someone suggested on Twitter that Harvey was the one who slipped the sex toy into Plawecki's locker, but I have no idea if that was serious.
  4. Probably just to get him into a game/keep him sharp after not having pitched in 3 days. Don't recall what the situation might've been with the rest of the pen. I'm sure that's what it was. Sucks in retrospect, but of course Joe couldn't have known what sort of games were coming.
  5. Walking it off against Chapman would be pretty cool.
  6. Heyward spraying glove dongs everywhere and our bats love to follow up with one too
  7. Boy, the Yankees should probably trade Judge somewhere he can be a DH
  8. We have glove dongs, bat dongs, more dongs than anyone could hope to contain
  9. It feels the same to me whether it's blowing in or out, which is obviously wrong. Gotta love confirmation bias.
  10. Complaints about why the wind didn't knock that down notwithstanding, that pitch by Edwards almost literally couldn't have been more of a gopher ball.
  11. The thing is, pathetically enough, it probably was. Either the '11 Bulls or the '12 "we're a few months away from Brooklyn inexplicably giving us their next 5 drafts for a pair of post-prime guys" Celtics. Real answer: The '10 Celtics were fresh off Doc Rivers costing them Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Alternative: Just imagine if the '11 Bulls had the PG whose injury single-handedly cost them the playoffs this year. Imagine having a stud like that The '10 Celtics were before The Decision, which is what I thought the time frame was per 17S' post, but it seems we jumped past that.
  12. It's a incredible record, I'm not saying it isn't and Lebron would have come out on top pretty much regardless. I'm just pointing out that the level of competition to get through in the East has just been pretty meh over the stretch. Who's the best East team he's had to go through? Those Pacers teams for 1-3 years with PG, Hibbert, West and Granger or the Celtics teams that were already on the downside? I was told it was the Bulls. The thing is, pathetically enough, it probably was. Either the '11 Bulls or the '12 "we're a few months away from Brooklyn inexplicably giving us their next 5 drafts for a pair of post-prime guys" Celtics.
  13. I just love that Jason Heyward is good enough now that Joe could turn him loose on 3-0.
  14. Obviously I would rather have a player do that too. It's just a quirky thing that's kind of cool and hasn't been accomplished by a Cub in a long time (Grace in 93 is still the last one right?). Correct A small part of me is still bitter Todd Walker's line drive wasn't 2 feet lower in Houston in 2004, resulting in his second homer instead of a double.
  15. This thing where our pitchers give up runs all the time, I could do without it
