  1. That strike 2 to Schwarber, however, was complete garbage.
  2. Pitchcast said that strike 3 to Rizzo was actually a strike, which is damn near impossible for me to believe. Ump must not have felt too strongly about it because Rizzo probably ought to have been tossed for how he reacted.
  3. Freeman has a bit more power, but yeah, that's a good shorthand description.
  4. https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/wrigley-field-host-bowl-game-2020-ncaa-competition-committee/ It will likely be B1G vs. ACC Nothing like coming to Chicago in late December to play a bowl game. Don't tell me you wouldn't be all over mediocre Michigan and Notre Dame teams playing each other at Wrigley.
  5. La Stella is ahead of Rizzo....why exactly?
  6. I was so smart to boldly predict Chatwood's walk total without specifying whether or not he would horsefeathering suck.
  7. BOLD PREDICTION Chatwood will walk fewer than 3 batters. Yes, I'm going there.
  8. I don't know about fixed but this has been damn fun and you're right, he hasn't been close to this good for this long before.
  9. Can I use this in my script for the ending of Major League 3? Sure but there already was a Major League 3 I think I remember reading at one point that they were considering making a Major League 3 that was going to completely ignore the Back to the Minors movie.
  10. Apparently our guys who can't throw strikes are the only ones who can't get close calls.
  11. Ugh, wish Kyle had taken that last one.
  12. I'm here for Jason Heyward, Clutch Hitter
  13. Might be an unpopular opinion and definitely a biased one, but I don't like parks where you can 'steal' homers. It's a homer or it's not.
  14. Lol alright that butcher is making plays like that
  15. BOLD PREDICTION Someone on the Cubs will hit the ball over the fence for what is in shorthand parlance known as a "home run".
  16. Heyward really looked good that AB even before the double. Fouled two pitches straight back.
  17. Is that actually JD I thought some one was filling in for him or something. Len said it was. I was sure that was someone different. Although now that I think about it they'd probably stick Glanville in there if JD was out.
  18. Meadows' ball was like a foot from being a double play and instead we're down 1-0.
  19. The old 'send the runner on 1st to draw a throw and hope the guy on 3rd can steal home' thing.
  20. Eh, Javy was just going to strike out any way so why not take a chance? Dude is just swinging at whatever is being thrown right now. The chances of Javy, even at his worst, managing to find the ball and bloop it into the outfield are far better than that play working with La Stella running home.
