  1. I actually get excited when we hit a run-of-the-mill RBI groundout in a RISP spot now.
  2. Christ on a cracker can we catch a break
  3. plus wasn't schwarber still in the game? He at least reduces a little bit of the chance of them scoring on a single through the hole. No, Happ moved to LF from CF
  4. Absolutely. For the better part of 4 years now. This goes well beyond SSS The only time in our current era of competitiveness that we were anything besides atomically horsefeathering terrible with RISP, we won the World Series. Probably not a coincidence.
  5. I hate thinking the whole game "man, we aren't gonna get away with all this horsefeathers" and the end of the game comes and we didn't get away with all this horsefeathers.
  6. And despite that we win if Joe manages by the book and uses his effing closer in a one-run game
  7. I'm so glad Joe decided to save Morrow for a save spot that probably won't even arise later today.
  8. I really hope Monty can keep being good so we have no choice but to mothball this dude when Darvish comes back.
  9. How in holy horsefeathers is that not a home run
  10. I guess we were due to give up something to that little horsefeathers but it still pisses me off
  11. Joe's dumbness notwithstanding, I was expecting to catch up on this thread to see lots of complaining about how piss horsefeathering lucky St. Louis got in that inning. They hit one ball decently.
  12. Flaherty must pay for this insolence. horsefeathers, that's no good.
  13. Of course they're gonna review this. So dumb.
  14. The baserunning on that play was just effing beautiful.
  15. Dontrelle Willis who is now an analyst made even better hot takes in the pre game Haha, I did see that. I especially loved that he thought the Brewers would have confidence going against us "head to head", because nothing tells that story better than the 3-8 record they have in head to head matchups.
  16. "He loves to swing the bat" said the highly paid baseball analyst about 15% BB rate Ian Happ.
  17. Again, I can't remember who it was but I remember reading something a few weeks ago that it is worse, in fact it was approaching a historically high variance between their hot and cold streaks. I tend not to get too worried about how things look in June, and I'm really not all that worried that much overall, but that particular thing does concern me a bit. Even if it's true, I don't really know that I'd agree with it being 'concerning'. Over 162 games, even if they (continue) play(ing) super hot/cold...it should balance out enough for our true talent level to win us the division. Once October starts, isn't it usually a matter of what team gets hot? There is, granted, a ton of time between now and October, but the playoffs are ideally 3-plus weeks long and it would not bode well for us to win if the wacky up-and-down play were going on then.
  18. Nice hack, Contreras. We'd better horsefeathering rage in STL.
  19. I can only assume Joe is trolling the Brewers by informing them just how few fucks he gives about whether we win this game by letting Gimenez bat there
  20. Oh, so when we throw pitches in the zone, they're not strikes. This definitely is an interesting twist.
