  1. Ah, so it's going to be the complete rollover today
  2. I'm trying to remind myself the wind knocked down a Baltimore homer yesterday and it isn't just us
  3. I'd like to add another couple of runs so he can take the rest of the day off
  4. That might legitimately be the worst strike call I've ever seen
  5. Colton Cowser - better defender than Brooks Robinson?
  6. After the 07 season the Cubs basically stopped wearing blue at home. They randomly did twice in a row a couple years ago but that's it.
  7. This wind business is well past ridiculous at this point. Second year in a row it just blows in almost all the time
  8. There is no chance, but if they do I want to be a fly on the wall
  9. I would've hoped the lesson of not grabbing people whose under the hood numbers are rapidly going the wrong direction was learned after Neris. Maybe it stuck this time.
  10. More than a little frustrating that we're essentially going to bet on Boyd and Shota both remaining healthy and effective the rest of the season
  11. I would be surprised if Hoyer wasn't in on those two. Either would be big additions.
  12. Sacramento got Leo DeVries in the deal. That's a huge get for them.
  13. Looks like whatever is up won't stop him from hitting at least
  14. If he's actually hurt I don't see how LA can let him pitch again.
  15. Hollowell up, Flexen DFA'd. Most notably from my perspective, I believe that opens up a spot on the 40-man.
  16. Hopefully that's Happ about to break out. This is the first time I've had to listen to Alex Cohen and woof. It's like if you typed "give me a mid 30s Cubs homer who's trying to be cool " into ChatGPT.
  17. The guy who never strikes anyone out is chasing Kerry Wood against this lineup
  18. The king of this is an Eastern Michigan football player named, no joke, Noah Knigga. Since I just looked it up, apparently he told RG3 on some podcast that it's pronounced kuh-NAY-ga, but man, that is rough.
  19. I do think there's some weird sense to this. The Cubs have a really good offense and adding Suarez would neutralize its only major weakness. I'm assuming they're after at least one pitcher too, but it could be that Jed sees value in beefing up the offense at the expense of some pitching depth, especially if it's cheaper in prospect cost to do that.
  20. I know this isn't actually what happens every time, but man it sometimes feels like the wind blowing out is a constant recipe for the other team hitting it high and watching it fly while our guys forget what a fly ball looks like
