  1. That's kind of what he did say at first. But then someone asked him if he'd read the blog post, and...
  2. I saw this too, at this point outside of general hatred of Boston everything (which I completely respect) I can't imagine why anyone wants the Astros to win.
  3. Bulls calling a 1 pm presser tomorrow for a 'business, not basketball' announcement per KC Johnson. Guessing they've sold the jersey ad.

  5. Michigan might be really good. They'd better be because it might be ND's only ranked win when it's all over. Granted if they keep playing like today (what the hell is it with Pitt against unbeaten ND teams) it won't matter.
  6. That was weird. I would've waited a couple more innings to see if it turned into a blowout. But I guess they won by 1 so it worked.
  7. There was so much shade in that run of tweets.
  8. For everyone's sake, I hope his shoulder ends up fine and he doesn't look really stupid for turning that down after next season.
  9. Any Astros haters here are just jealous fat babies. Present And accounted for.
  10. I'm reduced to rooting for Boston or New York. I guess I'd rather Milwaukee beat LA but I don't feel strongly about that.
  11. I'm gonna go ahead and predict that if the Cubs sign Harper, they won't 'quietly' be doing anything as far as the attention the media will pay it.
  12. Yeah, but can they hit opposite field singles with nobody on and 2 out?

  14. There seems to be a pretty clear top five right now of Bama, UGA, OSU, Clemson and ND that would make for a tidy 4-teamer if they all won out (with the SEC title game loser SOL), so obviously 3 of those 5 will lose in the next 3 weeks.
  15. The 2015 Cardinals won 100 games. They weren’t weak. I’m aware of that. Despite all that i didn’t feel like they had any truly elite hitters or pitchers. They were good like any playoff team is but they seemed weak and ripe for beating They also were beat up by injuries and were running out of gas a bit. Kind of like a rich man's version of our team this year. I remember being extremely confident we would beat them.
  16. The foul ball they got right I think. I didn't see the play at first.
  17. Frankly, I'm glad Yelich is still raking. It would've pissed me off if he'd cooled off right after singlehandedly stealing the division from us.
  18. Those were 2 pretty strong quotes about the offense. Crossing my fingers.
  19. OK then who is the one above Lester. Too many white-ish guys with full beards Webster I think? I don't know if anyone else is as confused as I am over whether this is a joke or something, but that's Morrow. And the guy he labeled Lester is absolutely not Lester. I don't think it's Bote either, I think the guy he thought is Bote was Bote. In any case, didn't Passan say it was in the middle innings? This picture probably wouldn't determine any of this.
  20. Greenberg's article about hugs did that to me. Contreras was terrible in the second half, but like Baez, he plays with all-out effort and infectious joy, and I don't know how anyone doesn't like him.
  21. Anyone want to guess who that was? Someone in the dugout but not on the roster? Edwards? Freeman? Morrow? This was my thought. Everyone that came to mind that was on the roster didn't make sense either based on what we know about them or by game situation.
  22. That is terrifying Bryant would never say it if his shoulder was actually a problem. But if this is what he is from now on then yeah, we're toast.
  23. i've been like the leader of the "actually, the brewers are good" brigade for like 5 months They are good however, do really believe their starting pitching is going to be good enough to win a WS? They don't have any Klubers, granted, but Cleveland came within like a quarter of a second on Kipnis' swing against Chapman of winning the title with essentially 1 starter.
  24. Yeah, I don't want him gone because I think he's a very good manager of personalities if not of games. I would understand if they made a change, though.
