  1. Hell of a job killing that rally, Bryzzo
  2. Ump rooking Adbert against the freaking pitcher. Thanks clown.
  3. If anyone's curious, Bruce Miles said on Twitter that as far as he knows the players just wanted to wear blue and that's why they're doing it.
  4. It's not like he walked the bases loaded or anything oh wait horsefeathers
  5. What the horsefeathering horsefeathers was that. That's a pretty unbelievably dumb play.
  6. This is what we get for wearing the blue at home. I like them on the road, but not at home
  7. I think Joe might have pulled Edwards mid at bat during the Nationals playoff series, but I couldn't tell you for sure.
  8. How in the world does that happen so often
  9. Just a glorious display of hitting in this inning
  10. That last spot in the lineup is pretty much a no win situation at this point. Almora? Cargo? Russell? Descalso? Just be happy there's only one of them and they are at the bottom of the lineup. Yep. Of those 4 I think CarGo is probably the least objectionable, or at least the one least likely to give me a visceral reaction to seeing him at the plate. So whatever.
  11. I'm morbidly impressed that someone actually wasted that much time and apparently much needed mental energy crafting the "this first place team should have a fire sale" take.
  12. Well, this game is BS. 2 juiced ball dongs for them and our juiced ball dong somehow landed 20 feet short
  13. UConn is apparently leaving the American to rejoin the Big East in basketball.
  14. Our primary power hitters tend to hit monster dongs, though. To whatever degree we've benefited, it's probably Almora and Heyward and such.
  15. Next-level chess move by Almora to burn Descalso without actually wasting an AB on him.
  16. It's kind of incredible how Darvish always pitches exactly as well as he needs to to make the game as stressful as possible.
  17. Mets barely get a HR out with the juiced ball, we don't, and then that garbage strike 3. Not a great inning.
  18. O'Malley, Lee's injury, and Jacque Jones inexplicably launching a monster home run all the way over Tal's Hill in Houston are the only 3 things I remember from 06 and I'm not even totally sure the latter happened in 06.
  19. A really crappy soft-tossing LHP the Cubs called up at the end of the season (2006). I barely remember him, but he pitched one gutsy game against the Astros. There's no shame in not remembering this guy lol. He was brought up because we ran out of pitchers during a 16-inning win over Houston towards the end of that season and he happened to be the guy whose turn it was at AA. He never would've made the bigs otherwise. He had a random great start the next afternoon and was a pretty cool story. I think he started one more time, didn't do as well, and that was it for him.
  20. I know it isn't this simple but it feels like his game plan is basically "here it is, see if you can hit it". Probably won't work forever but it's awesome to see.
  21. Ok, Adbert will be taking the next start. Easy gas and some filthy movement on the off speed.
  22. I'm gonna put on my UMFan hat here and whine about us never being in perfect defensive position for these ground balls
