  1. Indiana was pretty decent last year. Probably more like losing to Tennessee Tom Allen has done a good job there IU is legitimately pesky now. They seem to give Michigan a scare once every couple of years or so and beat most of the teams that are around their talent level.
  2. I am not in favor of rules that force teams to lower their chances of making an out on a ball in play.
  3. Dammit, really? It'll probably be back. Everyone is dropping the RSNs right now because other than the occasional college football game, they're literally not airing anything anyone would watch until at least January when the NBA is supposedly coming back.
  4. Houston's defense was playing like garbage - in no small part because Derrick Henry is an actual mutant - and as Crennel probably feared, the Texans never saw the ball again in that game. It was unequivocally the right call and I loved it.
  5. I read somewhere that MLB has rules against showing Zoom press conferences live (why, I have no idea, but it would explain why it wasn't aired live). As for the game-adjacent content, we have no idea what might have been planned pre-pandemic. I wasn't thrilled with most of the in-game stuff (Taylor McGregor spending multiple games showing off old memorabilia that no one cares about was pretty painful), but I imagine when we're post-pandemic, the coverage will improve.
  6. New Mexico/Colorado State is canceled with no plans to reschedule. First change of the week. Also, Washtenaw County in Michigan (where UM resides) is issuing a shelter-in-place order for 2 weeks on the UM campus but is exempting the Wolverines football team.
  7. Hi, B1G! (Mountain West too.) 8. Will Grier Normally, but he's inactive today. XFL legend PJ Walker is backup today. They've basically been rotating week to week.
  9. Various advanced statistical systems give Notre Dame about a 23-25% chance to beat Clemson on November 7, which is about 22.67-24.67% more than I do.
  10. I'd go Allen for sure. That's a layup. Allen has been a production monster and the Bills will need to score a ton just to keep up.
  11. Apparently he was the Notre Dame beat writer at the South Bend Tribune at some point 20 or so years ago (though I wasn't familiar with him), so there's a local connection for me. Huge bummer. RIP.
  12. He's Cooper's kid, Peyton and Eli's nephew (I assume you knew that, but in case anyone else didn't). He's pretty highly touted, but not so much that there's a prayer that would be happening without his bloodlines.
  13. Another one.
  14. And now LSU/Florida is getting postponed.
  15. 3 days ago, Dan Mullen was laughably trying to put public pressure on his school to jam the Swamp to capacity for their next game.
  16. That's a tough one. Thomas is the best player of the 3 but you really really need a RB and Gallup is good too. I would probably take it - every fantasy analyst talks about how you shouldn't assume a player with a semi-serious injury will come back exactly the way he was - but I wouldn't argue with anyone who didn't.

    NFL Week 5

I don't watch many Saints games, but I can confirm that it at least feels like whatever they tell Taysom Hill to do works 100 percent of the time if they play Carolina.
  18. First SEC postponement of the season.

    NFL Week 5

I am so happy Carolina got Matt Rhule. A remade roster with essentially no off-season and the only legitimately excellent player has been gone 60% of the season. By all rights this team should be getting smoked every week and instead they're in first place.
  20. I've had to edit all my threads so far but this is definitely the quickest one
  21. Even when Alabama can't stop anyone, they still win. And here's why:
  22. 23. I saw that live and was so mad they didn't call that correctly. It was so obviously a backward pass.
  24. Crazy how they got their teeth kicked in as soon as they faced a functional baseball team
  25. It has been officially changed from 6 to 7:30 pm ET. I don't live near the Gulf Coast so I'll assume that 90 minutes makes a big difference.
