    Doolittle is a good dude which is why he's ridiculously overrated by this forum. He wasn't good last year, has been absolutely awful this year, and is about to be 34 so there's no particular reason to think he's going to get any better.

    A washed Lester and an endless parade of quad-A arms might have a touch to do with it

    If it weren't so concerning it would amuse me that every time Lester is on a good stretch and stat guys point out he's due for regression, he immediately gets bombed for a while.

    Seems like a pretty crappy draft, no? By all accounts it's not good, which is why I completely expect the Bulls to get a high pick tonight.

    No one answered this, but Len was definitely saying "lie" last year. I remember because I had always assumed it was "lay". In my experience Len is pretty much always on it when it comes to pronunciation - to this day he's the only broadcaster I know of that knew our 2017 trade deadline pickup was pronounced AH-vil-uh - so I'm going with him on this.

    Ian Happ is legit an elite hitter this year.

    It's typical 'rich jackasses not remotely knowing what people who only make five figures care about' syndrome. (I'm assuming Sinclair people as the rich jackasses here since the Ricketts never seemed to care what Len and JD wore before, but who knows.) They watched a couple of Fox games and saw Joe Buck wearing a suit, so they figured if Len and JD wear suits everyone will think they see Marquee as a super important endeavor rather than an easy cash infusion.

    Open letter to Jayce Tingler (I'm writing off the Rangers because whiny bitching and moaning from the other end of the 'unwritten rule' violation apparently will never end): If you don't want your superstar player to hit a grand slam when you're already up big, take him out of the game and sub in some horsefeathering scrub that won't hit a grand slam. And kindly shut the horsefeathers up and never open your fat yap about this topic again. Thank you.

    They haven't released the schedule, but assuming there is a playoffs, yes, you should assume the entire week will be packed with games, probably Tuesday-Thursday.

    I don't know where to put this, but apparently Mark Grace is going to be suspended from Marquee for this week for his rambling ex-wife rant on Saturday, which is about a thousand weeks too few to be rid of his drunk ass.

    That was probably the only really dumb thing. He was thinking hit and run on 3-2 but Willy is prone to strikeouts and Rizzo is a dead duck if he Ks, so nothing made sense about that.
