  1. Not terribly surprising news, but news nonetheless:
  2. Those games are permitted to continue due to the testing protocols in place. Michigan won't be the last state to issue directives like this.

  4. Utah/UCLA and Cal/Arizona State were both canceled, and there are reports that Cal may play UCLA this Sunday since both those teams appear to be in the clear COVID-wise right now.
  5. In a promising development, I noticed yesterday that Marquee aired an hour long "Cy Young Announcement Special" for Yu Darvish featuring a bunch of people including Rick Sutcliffe, Tommy Hottovy and Len/JD talking about the voting results and breaking down Yu's season I believe they ran a similar special regarding David Ross being an NL Manager of the Year finalist.
  6. And now Ohio State/Maryland is gone.
  7. Georgia/Missouri postponed. Not the SEC's favorite week.
  8. LSU vs Alabama and A&M vs Tennessee both postponed.
  9. SEC games are going to start dropping. Auburn/Mississippi State is gone, and LSU/Bama might be next. Apparently a Halloween party involving LSU players resulted in an outbreak.
  10. Perhaps I'm dabbling in overconfidence but I'm glad it's BC. While none of the players were alive for that game, one click on YouTube and they can see what happens if you screw around and enjoy the hype too much.

  12. Hey, that was pretty cool.
  13. Why would you think that? With the caveat that I have no experience with one, I just figured they would be able to 'bubble up' a little more than your average college campus.
  14. Down goes a Pac-12 game
  15. All 3 academies' games (Air Force/Army and Navy/Tulsa) are off. Outbreaks at Air Force and Navy. I would've thought the academies could at least avoid this to some extent but clearly that's not the case.
  16. WTF Wisconsin.
  17. Andy

    NFL Week 8

They showed that graphic on RedZone the other day. Incredible statistic.
  18. Dropped 2 in a row (barring some sort of insanity tonight) after a 6-0 start and now I'm wondering what my playoff odds are looking like.
  19. And just to be clear, Arizona State/USC is not a typo, they are playing at noon ET, 9 a.m. Pacific.
  20. Pac-12 and MAC complete the party this week. Top 25 games ------------------------------ (1) Clemson at (4) Notre Dame (7:30 pm, NBC) Rutgers at (3) Ohio State (7:30 pm, BTN) (8) Florida vs (5) Georgia - in Jacksonville (3:30 pm, CBS) Houston at (6) Cincinnati (3:30 pm, ABC) (7) Texas A&M at South Carolina (7 pm, ESPN) (9) BYU at (21) Boise State (9:45 pm Friday, FS1) (11) Miami at NC State (7:30 pm Friday, ESPN) Stanford at (12) Oregon (7:30 pm, ABC) (23) Michigan at (13) Indiana (12 pm, FS1) (14) Oklahoma State at Kansas State (4 pm, FOX) South Alabama at (15) Coastal Carolina (8 pm, ESPNU) UMass at (16) Marshall (2:30 pm, ESPN+) Baylor at (17) Iowa State (7 pm, FS1) (18) SMU at Temple (12 pm, ESPN+) Kansas at (19) Oklahoma (3:30 pm, ESPN) Arizona State at (20) USC (12 pm, FOX) West Virginia at (22) Texas (12 pm, ABC) (25) Liberty at Virginia Tech (12 pm, ACC Network) Other nationally available games --------------------------------------------------- Western Michigan at Akron (6 pm Wednesday, ESPN3) Ohio at Central Michigan (7 pm Wednesday, ESPN) Buffalo at Northern Illinois (7 pm Wednesday, ESPN2) Ball State at Miami (OH) (7 pm Wednesday, CBSSN) Bowling Green at Toledo (8 pm Wednesday, ESPNU) Utah State at Nevada (7 pm Thursday, FS1) Wyoming at Colorado State (9 pm Thursday, CBSSN) San Jose State at San Diego State (9 pm Friday, CBSSN) Michigan State at Iowa (12 pm, ESPN) North Carolina at Duke (12 pm, ESPN2) Nebraska at Northwestern (12 pm, BTN) Arkansas State at UL Lafayette (12 pm, ESPNU) UL Monroe at Georgia State (12 pm, ESPN3) Troy at Georgia Southern (1 pm, ESPN3) Boston College at Syracuse (2 pm, FSN) North Alabama at Southern Miss (3 pm, ESPN3) Texas Tech at TCU (3:30 pm, FS1) Maryland at Penn State (3:30 pm, BTN - Regional) Minnesota at Illinois (3:30 pm, BTN - Regional) Vanderbilt at Mississippi State (3:30 pm, SEC Network) Fresno State at UNLV (3:30 pm, CBSSN) Pittsburgh at Florida State (4 pm, ACC Network) Western Kentucky at Florida Atlantic (6 pm, FSN) UCLA at Colorado (7 pm, ESPN2) Tennessee at Arkansas (7:30 pm, SEC Network) Washington State at Oregon State (10:30 pm, FS1)
  21. LSU is the first defending champ since 1991 to be under .500 five games into the season To be fair, usually defending champs have a few games vs Directional State U to begin their seasons. The way they're playing, Directional State U might take them out too
  22. Theoretically this should take Lawrence out of play for the ND game next Saturday, but Clemson hasn't officially ruled him out yet.
  23. Now that it looks like Kimbrel is good again, there's no on-field justification for this. And obviously no other kind of justification.
  24. We have our first B1G cancellation. Wisconsin/Nebraska is off.
  25. It wasn't quite the same, but I had Joe Maddon/Kyle Hendricks/David Ross flashbacks that whole inning. That was horsefeathering brutal managing by Cash. And as Verducci noted, he didn't even bring in a reliever that made sense for what he was doing.
