  1. I saw that live and was so mad they didn't call that correctly. It was so obviously a backward pass.
  2. Crazy how they got their teeth kicked in as soon as they faced a functional baseball team
  3. It has been officially changed from 6 to 7:30 pm ET. I don't live near the Gulf Coast so I'll assume that 90 minutes makes a big difference.
  4. Hurricane Delta has also forced the postponement of UL Lafayette/Coastal Carolina.
  5. I knew that just because it was discussed after Robert's homer.
  6. Missouri and LSU will now play in Columbia and not Baton Rouge due to an approaching hurricane.
  7. Shh, keep it down. I want Levy on MNF, which I almost never watch anyway, and Joe Tess and McDonough staying on college where I like them. We need to all pretend he's great.
  8. I'm dangerously close to becoming optimistic that Carolina can make a run at a playoff spot, so please do keep him so we can get 2 more wins. Even if we suck we're not gonna get Trevor Lawrence at this point anyway, so let's go for it.
  9. Top 25 games ------------------------------ (7) Miami at (1) Clemson (7:30 pm, ABC) (2) Alabama at Ole Miss (7:30 pm, ESPN) (14) Tennessee at (3) Georgia (3:30 pm, CBS) (4) Florida at (21) Texas A&M (12 pm, ESPN) Florida State at (5) Notre Dame (7:30 pm, NBC) (19) Virginia Tech at (8) North Carolina (12 pm, ABC) Arkansas at (13) Auburn (4 pm, ESPN) UTSA at (15) BYU (3:30 pm, ESPN2) (17) LSU at Missouri (12 pm, SEC Network - Alternate) Oklahoma vs (22) Texas - in Dallas (12 pm, FOX) Texas Tech at (24) Iowa State (3:30 pm, ABC) Other nationally available games --------------------------------------------------- Tulane at Houston (7 pm Thursday, ESPN) Louisville at Georgia Tech (7 pm Friday, ESPN) UL Monroe at Liberty (12 pm, ESPN2) South Carolina at Vanderbilt (12 pm, SEC Network) NC State at Virginia (12 pm, ACC Network) Duke at Syracuse (12:30 pm, FSN) The Citadel at Army (1:30 pm, CBSSN) Texas State at Troy (3:30 pm, ESPN3) Central Arkansas at Arkansas State (3:30 pm, ESPN3) Kansas State at TCU (4 pm, FOX) Middle Tennessee at Florida International (4 pm, ESPNU) Pittsburgh at Boston College (4 pm, ACC Network) Temple at Navy (6 pm, CBSSN) UTEP at Louisiana Tech (7:30 pm, ESPN2) Marshall at Western Kentucky (7:30 pm, FSN) Mississippi State at Kentucky (7:30 pm, SEC Network) Charlotte at North Texas (8 pm, ESPNU)
  10. What Carolina is doing on offense with an average QB, decent to meh receivers, and McCaffrey sidelined half the season so far is extremely exciting to consider when Joe Brady has better players to work with.
  11. Read on Twitter that it's the first time in 7 years Kintzler recorded all 3 outs by strikeout.
  12. they're fine with the cubs. anything that makes the fans more amenable to a firesale and rebuild is probably good for them. Absolutely. They're dying for a reason to slash payroll, especially now that the money isn't coming in as much. They're perfectly content with the idea that our fan base is going to start calling for a tear-down. BTW, I love all the '16 Cubs, all of them, and I'll never say a negative word about them, but we're definitely in "I can't miss you if you won't leave" territory at this point. I like Rizzo for what he does off the field so I don't want him to go, but I'm kinda good either way with just about everybody else from the core (Hendricks is signed a while so he is clearly staying too).
  13. Do I remember wrong or was there talk before the series about how Sixto Sanchez's strikeout rate was oddly low for a guy who can throw so hard? So much for that.
  14. Darvish looks on horsefeathering point today.
  15. There goes your perfect game, Sixto
  16. Rizzo takes 2 straight pitches he could've mashed for strikes to K, then complains about the correctly called 2nd one. Yeah, we're off to a fine start.
  17. Darvish looked solid that 1st inning. If we can get 3 runs (yes, I know), I'll feel pretty decent.
  18. Once we're out Oakland is definitely my main rooting interest the rest of the way. Although given the apparent alternatives (again, I'll believe STL is out when San Diego takes the field in the NLDS and not before), I had little choice in the matter.
  19. I'll believe St. Louis is dead when they've been tossed in the grave and not a minute before
  20. Yes but hypothetically Saturday is Kyle's bullpen day if we need to give him 20 pitches. That would put our rotation in disarray and have someone like Mills or Quintana starting game 1, but most likely everyone is pitching once in a 5 game series with no off days anyways. If that's Kyle's bullpen day anyway then Ross would be stupid not to toss Kyle out there for 20 pitches and as I typed that I realized we may be doomed
  21. Only one game postponed so far this week - South Alabama/Troy. App State/UL Lafayette, set for next Wednesday, has been postponed. Notre Dame appears to have its outbreak under control, as all but 4 of the players in COVID-19 protocols will be out of them by next week and they haven't had any new positive tests this week.
  22. The Astros' offensive stars being worse en masse this year is the best thing that's happened to Yelich. No one seems to be outwardly suspicious of him.
  23. Vegas is already baking in the early double-digit lead they expect the Falcons to blow in horrifying fashion in the 4th quarter.
