    That pretty much sums up his time here so far too. He is a lockdown defender but is pretty much useless offensively or on the boards. He wouldn't be playing if Tom Howland could play defense or had any post presence, or if Charles Bass didn't have a Torin Francis-esque inability to finish inside or could avoid foul trouble. This BSU team is completely lacking at the forward positions.

    "Progressive" - the word used in the snowboarding commentary that I have no idea what it means. There's one in every event. Looks like another USA sweep in snowboarding, women's this time, since the judges screwed over the Aussie who outperformed Kelly Clark.

    Baseball is plenty big enough in the Caribbean, in the US, and in Japan, and I really don't see why we should artificially create interest with a trumped up tournament. If people like baseball in Europe/rest of Asia/etc. they will come around and they won't need a WBC to do it.

    The Bulls just broke a 14-0 Clips run. Ben Gordon did it - naturally. Losing by 7 at this point with 3 points in the 2nd quarter 5 1/2 minutes in.

    I learned the fate of the Flying Tomato this morning on ESPN.com, and promptly switched my home page to my e-mail so I wouldn't be spoiled anymore.

    But we really stepped it up in 2002. Not repeating that seems like failure. It's simple fact that when the Games are in your home country you win more medals for a myriad of reasons. Most of the US's medal increase can be chalked up to that in 02.

    Any USA game plus any game Z starts for the Venezuelans is fair game for me.

    BSU loses in double OT to Miami 67-63. All in all, not much different from the eleventy billion other heartbreaking losses between the Irish and Ball State.

    Not only is KC the only team in the AL Central that we don't play, but we also play three more road games than home in interleague play. (9 road. 6 home, including road series against the best three teams in the division) The Cards get 6 against KC, don't have to play the Twins, and get the Indians at home. Thanks, Bud.

    Carrie Muskat's most hopelessly "misinformed" emailer ever. I don't know about "most". A couple weeks ago there was the emailer who trashed Todd Walker and was openly hoping for Neifi or Hairston to start at 2nd. Edward K. was just the one we chose to adopt as the whipping boy. :lol:

    Even though I already knew the result (see Rants thread), Chad Hedrick is a speed skating monster. But what I really want to see is hockey, short track speedskating, and Alpine skiing.

    Weeks must be very fast, if he can cover enough ground to play both second and short. :DThat would help keep the BrewCrew's payroll down. :D

    Not even close to the only one. Someone needs to take a silencer to Edward K.'s house and keep him away from Dusty until this season is over. :lol:

    I don't have a precise breakdown, but it seems that the basic mix is roughly 70 each for Comcast and WGN, and 22 "other" (ESPN, WCIU, CSN+, etc.)

    Not sure what you mean.... They're not allowed to carry their own flag, and are identified as "Chinese Taipei." Oh, I see what you mean. That's been going on for so long now I hardly notice it anymore. I'm not exactly shocked that the Chinese are a little off the mark in the colony relations department.

    Not sure what you mean... Hungary is "Ungaria" in Italian - they were the third to last nation introduced because of the Italian alphabet.

    I was under the impression that any home game broadcast on WGN was in HD. I don't know what Comcast's policy is.

    I become more convinced every time they do it that activities at the opening ceremonies come about as a result of illegal drugs.
