Man that brings back good memories. I remember reading in the Sunday Tribune after that, and some guy wrote: "If the Cubs don't make the playoffs after a play like that, cancel the franchise." :(
Not that its big news, but when Dan Patrick asked Dwyane Wade what his sport was, football or baseball, Wade replied, "I'm football all the way... I'm from Chicago. I love the Bears." Doesnt have much to do with anything. I just think its cool that D. Wade is probably watching the Bears game and being a fan just like us.
Not that I particularly care that Palmiero isn't going to be charged, but it would be nice to see another professional athlete (aka Jamal Lewis) have to pay his debt to society for not following the rules.
Anyone know what the Braves are offering Furcal? I don't think it could be close to that, but it may be. Hopefully the Cubs get Furcal as cheap as they can (if that means 9 mil a year, so be it). We don't want the Cubs bidding against themselves.
we nearly beat a team that many think will finish in the top 3 in the East and we nearly beat a team that has won 2 of the last 3 NBA Titles. I'm not worried in the least right now. I do think that we are going to have a LOT of close games this year however. I hope youre right. Go Bulls!
I'm excited about this win for the Bulls tonight, but is anyone else a little worried that this Bulls team is following the same path that the 2002 Chicago Bears did? The bears got off to a 2-0 start after a playoff year with two very close wins. After that, the season just fell apart. I'm not saying the Bulls will fall apart, I certainly hope they do not, but they just seems to be lacking something that last years team had. Hope I'm wrong.
Seconded. There's absolutely no player in baseball I would trade Z for apart from maybe Pujols and we all know the Cards wouldn't make that deal. Cabrera is just about the only player I'd accept back for Z in a trade. You wouldn't take Castillo too? :D I take it no one would accept 2 very good players for Z then. What if the Mets ( sign Furcal) then trade Reyes and Cameron to the Cubs for Z and Hendry thinks that would be the answer for the leadoff situation. I'm not suggesting this but I could see it happening. It closes 2 holes while opening a huge hole. I think it's almost impossible to get equal value back for Z, and that's the only way I'd trade him. So I'd say no to two or three good to very good players. Not to mention the backlash from fans for trading Z, who is a huge fan favorite. I know he's my favorite player on the team.

I'm a big Bulls, but unfortunately I haven't been able to watch any games (stupid WGN doesn't put many games on their Superstation). How is the lack of a big man affecting the team? I was getting updates against the Spurs and it seemed that the Bulls played well against San Antonio. Did they finally begin to look good Monday night?
Hahaha I cant wait to see what new idiot athlete or management type ESPN hires. I mean, geez, who can beat John Kruk, Sean Salisbury, and then morons like Steve Phillips. By far the worst, in my opinion, is John Kruk though. I can't stand him.
Im gonna add David Eckstein, just for the simple fact that Im sick of Cardinal fans telling me Id love him if he was on the Cubs. Also, Latroy Hawkins.
