  1. I don't know, some of those triple option and wing-T quarterbacks were pretty awesome. That's what I mean. John Parker Wilson isn't a good quarterback because he all of a sudden holds the career passing marks at Alabama. The game is just so much different with regards to the passing game. For example, Brady Quinn was the first QB to throw for 3,000 yards at ND and they've had a ton of great signal callers. JP Wilson is a better QB then you are giving him credit for. I'm not saying he's a great QB by any means, but he is solid college QB who you can win with provided you don't ask him to do more then he's capable of (think of him as a college version of Trent Dilfer). You still have to have some talent---regardless of the system used---to set some records at a school as rich as Alabama. To diminished that because of the "evolution" of a game is ridiculous. Does this mean we can diminish what Tim Tebow did last yr or what Colt McCoy have done? You can't have it both ways. It's not ridiculous at all. Teams simply throw a lot more than they used to. Alabama has had good quarterbacks but none have put up gaudy passing statistics. Wilson is mediocre and him holding all the records doesn't mean he's not.
  2. Pryor really does look like a Vince Young clone, right down to the goofy throwing motion.
  3. Even dumber to not fair catch that.
  4. Dumb playcall.

  6. Mike Patrick just said it says something that Wilson holds most of the passing records at Bama considering the quarterbacks that have played there. Yeah, it says volumes about the evolution of the game. Isn't he breaking the immortal Andrew Zow's records?
  7. Hoping for a John Parker Wilson meltdown in Knoxville tonight. Go Vols, Go Bucks!
  8. God RedFlash, LSU-UGA is 52-38 Do they even know what defense is in the SEC????
  9. Just goes to show you how bad the ACC is. Dukie did beat Vandy!
  10. As a USC fan, I'm going to need ND and Virginia to keep it up and help out our computer rankings. I can't believe UVA is in the mix for the ACC title. They looked Washington State level awful the first few weeks of the season.
  11. I know he's really good and all... ...But is someone in the Big XII going to stop Colt McCoy from completing 90% of his passes?
  12. Tackling: You're doing it wrong, Georgia.
  13. Texas/Okie State is available on ESPN360 I think.
  14. I heard Matthew Stafford has a strong arm. Confirm/Deny?
  15. We need to capture whatever is coursing through David Price's veins and inject it into the Cubs. To pitch that well at his age in that spot is just unbelievable--he was spotting up like crazy.
  16. Drew went around a lot farther than I initially thought after watching the replay.
  17. Is AD hurt or something? Not running on 4th and 1?
  18. I give AD at least a 5% chance today of breaking his own record for most rushing yards in a game.
  19. Attention defense, please report to the field.
  20. Time for a Brad Maynard shank job.
  21. Babich is awful.
  22. I never thought I'd see the day when my hope for a Bears victory hinged on Kyle Orton winning a shootout.
  23. What happened?
  24. How many TD passes should Orton have had if Booker didn't suck? The passing game is wide open. To paraphrase Donald Rumsfled: You play the game with the receivers you have not the receivers you want. The passing game WOULD be wide open if we had competent receivers.
  25. I don't think it'll be that heartbreaking because I expect the Vikings to blow us out in the 2nd half.
