  1. When I said bottom half of the West I meant a 5-8 seed.
  2. So what kind of (regular) season can we realistically expect? Bottom half of the West? Should I invest in the NHL package? I want to watch a lot of games next year.
  3. Wade will extend his career by not having to make every single play on the team.
  4. Clearly being a goofy looking corner outfielder from the NL Central is the key to this years HR derby. Get Hunter Pence in there!
  5. Well those teams have to worry about stopping James, Wade, and Bosh. Seriously if they get Shaq in there that'll be plenty. Girthy legit 7 footers who can give 6 hard fouls if necessary. That's all they need.
  6. Doesn't look like too many moon shotters in this years lineup. This is where I want to see roid monsters hitting 500+ foot bombs. Ah, the halcyon days of the early 00s when Sammy was hitting 520+ foot bombs at Turner Field and no one broached the subject of PEDs.
  7. If they get a semi legit center they'll be in business. Don't go there Brad... Haslem, Miller, Chalmers, that's not great but it's probably good enough. They just need to avoid the Jannero Pargo types getting big minutes.
  8. I'm watching the end of season MNF game between the Bears and Vikings from last year on NFL network at the moment. That was an awesome game.
  9. When the Blackhawks were facing an insurmountable 2-1 series lead I remember Hjalmarsson getting a lot of flak. Or was that game 4 that he had those giveaways?
  10. No one ever went broke underestimating the Detroit Lions.
  11. haha RedFlash I think you're basically harmless and that most are way too hard on you but that's just hilarious.
  12. I don't know if I would agree with that. Though I am pulling for all three of them to need microfracture surgeries by November. Bosh is the one who is really annoying me now. You're not that good. You don't play defense, you've never really been a key in a meaningful game and you were a dick to Toronto. Plus your eyes are set really far apart and your head has an odd shape. Depending on the day I think you either look like a half-alien or just some really, really dumb guy. Stan Van Gundy nailed it. I'm just comparing him to guy's like Jordan and Kobe. He relies so much on his overwhelming athleticism. It won't be there forever. When MJ lost a step or two and some of his hops you saw him operate out of the post. Kobe is obviously a much more perimeter oriented player now and has been for a few years. Lebron's an improved shooter but he's not that great at it yet. And he still hasn't developed a post game which sorta baffles me. He'd be unstoppable on the block.
  13. Lebron won't age all that gracefully either unless he gets his butt in the post (where he'd be unstoppable).
  14. Lebron is actually calling minimum 7 peat?
  15. Pau Gasol was by far the best player in the Lakers/Jazz series.
  16. The only reason the Jazz aren't contending for championships is because they have no one that can control the paint. That's a huge difference between the Bulls and the Jazz. They certainly execute better on offense than the Celtics, Lakers, Cavs (of last year), and Orlando.
  17. I find that very humorous.
  18. What was the genesis of wolf making fun of you for reading Chuck Klosterman snayke? I like Klosterman so I'm curious. Is he not cool anymore?
  19. Good for Tyrus I guess. If a salty guy like LB wanted to keep him I'm sure they saw something in him last year.
  20. They've convinced me. I think the Heat are on their way to dynasty. I think you're going to see a gravitation to that team of players who want a piece of what those 3 players have started building. Riley's at the helm of that ship -- it'll be humming along with a minimum of distraction and drama. We'll see if I'm dead wrong. I concede that I could be. I'm holding out hope that lots of ring chasers will see the value in not accepting less to play for Miami and playing for a team with a puncher's chance of knocking them out of the playoffs.
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years many big free agency decisions are given 15 minute slots on sport specific channels like MLB/NFL network.
  22. ESPN would rather show the 900th rerun of the 2009 World Series of Poker than "Marian Hossa: The Decision" Even Versus would probably show bull riding or something. No one is watching Marian Hossa: The Decision. No one.
  23. From his body language I bet Lebron would rather get his teeth pulled than go through that again. He looked really uncomfortable.
  24. The Celtics did not pick up that many ring chasers if I'm remembering correctly. Posey maybe? Rondo, Perkins, Baby, those guys were already there. Edit: I guess they did pick up Eddie House, Posey, and then Cassell and PJ Brown near the end of the season.
  25. I have to take minor exception to the idea that Lebron took the Cavs to previously unexplored levels of success. They went to a whole new level in the public eye, sure, but they barely did anything more than what the Price/Ehlo/Daugherty/Nance teams did. That 2007 Finals "performance" was such an abortion that I barely count it.
