griffey seemed like the only onethat could approach capturing hearts and minds lile mj did when I was a kid. A guy that only plays 20 times ayear or so behind a facemask cant have that kind of impact to an american kid or something.

That 45 second sequence is so epic. Imagine being the most famous human on the planet, and then doing a quick drive to cut it to one. After that you strip the best power forward ever and then bury the game winner with your final shot in that uni to clinch your second personal three peat. No one will ever top that kind of career arc.

I could be forgetting some guys but I think Sloan is only clearly behind Jackson, Auerbach, Riley, amd Popps as far as NBA coaches go. I'd put him ahead of a LOT of guys that have won titles and pretty much on par with Larry Brown, Chuck Daly, etc.

I think Sloan has got him. He lost to Jordan. Schotty lost to like denver teams that got smashed in the super bowl.

Sloans legacy is the best coach in any pro sport to never have won a title. That ain't bad.

SSR is just conflating us clowning the Knicks for not having much to offer Lebron in free agency in terms of talent already on the team with us saying they don't have the pieces to trade for Melo. I don't remember anyone saying that at all.

How was he a douche at Cal? Everybody at Cal is a douche. I disagree, I'd say USC is the epicenter of douche on the West Coast. Maybe Raisin can shed some light on this, but from everything I know about Berkeley, its full of really smart, really liberal geeks. It's full of asians who would have a nervous breakdown if they saw a joint. Also aaron rodgers is awesome and I enjoy watching him pass the football
