  3. Minor pec injury, per Muskat. Of course, that's what cost him almost 3 months during the season.
  4. I was definitely an advocate for Oscar, heading into the season. At this point, I'm not sure I'd even be able to put him in my personal top 10. If he's healthy in 2018, throw him in the pen and see if he can move quickly.
  5. I remember there were Card fans that thought 2015 was a fluke and that 2016 would still be their division too. Obviously, it's a vocal minority, but its so nice to see some of those same stupids still thinking they're getting the division back, at any point. I take true pleasure that their delusion will continue to last and that every year just brings them more disappointment, than if they'd just have taken a hard look at things a few years back and realized they were fucked then.
  6. [tweet] [/tweet] The dancing stuff is pretty damn great.
  7. Did he create a dummy account?
  8. I'm much more concerned about injury, than him sucking.
  9. I think Fox is stupid enough to think Glennon gives him the best chance to win.
  10. Schwarber is our LF next year. Yeah, he struggled this year. He's still got a very reasonable OPS, despite being lost most of the season. He's a plus makeup guy. He'll bounce back big next year. Not concerned about him honestly and I doubt the FO is either. He's not untouchable, but we're not going to sell low on him either, which you'd be doing.
  11. Id say maybe cutting him mid game would send a message to the rest of the team. Should we wait and do it in a playoff game for extra zing? Nah, you wait until he does some more charity work, that's when you cut him. Yellon- style.
  12. I'm not sure how to process this. Glennon is awful. No doubt there. Fox is hanging himself too, which is good. But, I'm not 100% sure I'd throw Trubisky in there yet. The line is beat up, the receivers don't exist, and they've got a few more really tough games in a row. I'd be fine with him starting against Pittsburgh, but I'd also be OK with waiting a few more weeks before handing things over.
  13. So, uh, he's our ace, right?
  14. Our system is bad, no doubt. But, that list is pathetic.
  15. I quit obsessing over the minor leagues after everyone graduated and the Cubs became great. I know who JHT is, but I can't say I've paid any attention to his starts in the past season-plus. Tell me how I should feel about him staring tomorrow. I am an empty vessel... I'm curious about the move, but putting him in the middle of a pennant race seems like a bad idea. He's got extremely average stuff, but hits his spots. Maybe they think he's a better option than Monty, against this lineup? But mainly, I figure they're trying to get Monty back into the pen, because of how awful they've been horsefeathering Wilson, in particular. If this was August, I'd be excited to see this. Right now, I'd rather Monty just have stayed in the rotation.
  16. Hopefully 300,000 and a promise of 150+ mill a month later gets him done.
  17. [tweet] [/tweet] Jesus, Darwin.
  18. Lol
  19. Some here will understand, but for those that don't.....Longenhagen called Velázquez a dude lol. That's a very good thing. Seems we got a steal with him because his hamstrings weren't full strength during his HS season.
