  1. are you ranking based o how scared you were? Ugh, my 6-10 probably did get ranked that way. In terms of game quality, I'd move 9 to 6, 6 to 7, 7 to 8, 8 to 9, and throw Game 3 Nats in at 10.
  2. I put mine in the Game Thread, but I'll put them here too..... 1. Game 7 2. Game 4 Giants 3. Game 5 Nats 4. Game 1 Giants 5. Game 1 Dodgers If I go further.... 6. WC Game Pirates 7. Game 4 Cards 8. Game 6 Dodgers 9. Game 5 Indians 10. Game 4 Dodgers A few comments.....I honestly was scared to death of the Giants last year, so those games stood out to me a ton. The WC game was nerve wracking, but I did think we'd win it. I kind of thought if we'd win game 5, we'd definitely take game 6 and push a game 7 against the Indians. Game 4 against the Dodgers scared me, because we were down 2-1 at the time. That scared me, but once it started, I was fine.
  3. 1. Game 7 2. Game 4 Giants 3. This 4. Game 1 Giants 5. Game 1 Dodgers
  4. Cubs have an .800 win percentage in double-elimination games over the last three decades. Clutch franchise. 3 NLCS appearances in a row. In all seriousness, I have a hard time believing it....
  5. Holy horsefeathers, I know we win these games now, but damn. It still feels weird. But its a horsefeathering great weird.
  6. but why wouldn't they come up with a legit made up injury instead of this bizarre nonsense if that was their aim? To me, him being "under the weather" is the only way this really even works. If he tweaked something? I mean, I guess. But, he's got a cold. This seems like the easiest way possible for them to pull this off, in my mind. I think Dusty is desperate. If he thinks this helps his odds, I think he'd do it. Even if this is an unwritten rule about to be broken.(no idea if it is or not and no idea if its been done in the playoffs ever) By the way......The thing that has me thinking like this is they made sure to correct the original report that he threw his side session today and changed it to yesterday.
  7. It'd be fun(not against us) for a team to stack their lineup for a righty, then a lefty comes in after a single batter, to face them. As for this exact scenario that's going on, my guess is Dusty is desperate, and is going to do whatever he possibly can, to win. I'm not sold that Strasburg isn't pitching tomorrow. They're both righties, at least. But, I'd be prepared for Strasburg to feel much better tomorrow. Especially since his side session was yesterday. The whole sick crap seems like gamesmanship to me.
  8. The Bears are set up great for the off season at least. Haven't bothered looking at the FA class next year, but the Bears can have 70 mill of cap space, if they need it. Granted, they need to quit striking out on the big names. I think the receiver group is going to make things too difficult to get a true read on Trubisky, but at least he's already shown the workable tools. How he develops moving forward is an unknown, but at least he's got the talent to dream on. To me, you've got to get him a big FA addition WR, a 2nd solid complimentary guy, and draft a guy inside the first 3 rounds. Hell, maybe spend a 3rd day pick as well. Although, I guess Meredith is back next year. If we bring back anyone else out of this group, I guess it'd be Wright. He's the only one I think that can be remotely productive. And there's no reason for Shaheen to be on the bench, as far as I'm concerned.
  9. Lol
  10. Sweet ass sweet
  11. Not having any of your top 4 MLB's is showing big time.
  12. I'm imagining Mitch with 3 new(much better) wideouts next year..... I'll be back in a few.
  13. Ticky tack horsefeathers
  14. Settles it. ELITE running game, if we're holding.
  15. Need to fire Fox at halftime.
  16. We've transitioned to the swarthy veteran type of "God, I don't want to play the Cubs in the playoffs" team with mostly kids.
  17. That's the type of playoff win the Cubs have never had until Theo got to town. Still not used to it.
  18. I voted yes. Not necessarily because I believe it, but I wanted to see the results. If Howard, Cohen, and the line stay healthy, I DO think the running game will be extremely solid, behind Trubisky. Much better than with Glennon. Elite? Who knows? I'm not even sure how to define " elite".
